Question about HP OfficeJet 4215 All-In-One InkJet Printer
This means its not a true HP cartridge.... All HP Printers have this problem. It really means that you have to go and buy true HP cartridge's . Sorry, but i hope this helps.

In rare situations the connection between the cartridge and the printer can cause this message.
Remove the cartridge and buff the contact points with a pencil eraser. If the cartridge is a HP27 then the printer should see it and respond. The color cartridge can also cause issues if it is not in working order as well.

Tips for a great answer:
1 Replace the Ink Cartridge that has failed.
2 If the message continues to appear, clean the electrical contacts
inside the Ink Supply Station (power OFF the Printer first).
3 If the message continues to appear after cleaning the Ink Supply
Station, replace the Ink cartridge again.
