How to fix dirt ***** easy steamer deep cleaner, it is leaking water?

Hi there! Check the clean water tank valve to see if that is where the leak is coming from. If so, your clean water tank will need to be replaced. If the leak is coming from somewhere else we recommend taking the cleaner in to a Dirt Devil authorized service center for repair. I have included a link where you may locate the nearest service center to you. Hope this is helpful. If you still need assistance feel free to reach out to us here on Fixya, Facebook.com/dirtdevil or Twitter @DirtDevil.

Hoover f7458-900 leaking when placing tank on

Hello! Test the clean water tank to see if it is leaking. Fill the clean water tank with water on both sides. Hold the tank up and observe if water leaks from the valves underneath the tank. If either of the valves are leaking the clean water tank will need to be replaced. To order a replacement tank follow this link > Search Results. If the tank is not leaking, but the cleaner leaks when the tank is placed on it, this may indicate an internal issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. > Service Center Locator Hope this helps!

We have a Bissell Proheat 2X (model 8920). The problem we are having is when water/soap is initially released (all settings) it continues to leak out the front water spray nozzles unit the water...

Return it. It is faulty and should not do that. Mine does not. Does require changing water about evrery 10 minutes but one can see the filth in the water. Also re-clean with plain water over areas that were cleaned to remove all cleaner. Old cleaner in carpet to dirt is like a bug attracted to a bug zapper. It can be time consuming, but it will pay for itself and can do a great job if you pay attention when water or cleaner runs out, otherwise it will not clean properly!

I have a Bissell 1690 carpet cleaner and it is leaking water very quickly out the back. How can I fix this problem?

I had the same problem with my bissell proheat carpet cleaner. My cleaner would leak water out the back when i turned it on. I opened up the cleaner and found there was a broken tee connector. The tee connector was a small black plastic three way connector shaped like a letter "T" with three plastic hoses plugged in to each end. One hose had broken off from the tee, the tee connector itself had snapped. Bissell has a couple hoses that run up through the upright porsion of the cleaner, i believe if that hose gets pulled too hard by over extending the cleaner upright portion it can snap the tee connector.
I purchased a vacuum line tee connector at the local auto parts store for a buck and replaced it. The vacuum line connectors are for rubber lines on a vehicle related to the engine, but they work fine for the Bissell. The size i purchased was 3/16"x3/16"x3/16". The cleaner works great now!!!

Here is how i took it apart:

I removed the water reservour, the soap dispenser, and the cap for the air flow indicator (red spinny thingy).
I removed the two screws in the very back, the two in the middle on each side of the water resevour and the two in the front. I carefully lifted the top of the cleaner off.
Inside you have to watch for a black plunger piece that might fall out, it belongs to your (heavy traffic/light traffic/water only) turn knob. If the plunger falls out reinsert it back into the underside of the cleaner lid right next to the knob, you will see how it fits in there...hopefully. Inside the bottom portion of the cleaner you will see a few hoses. Check them all and make sure none of them are disconnected or broken off from the tee connector. I would almost bet that this is what your problem is if the machine is leaking. replace the valve, reconnect hoses and carefully reassemble the cleaner.
Hope this helps...

Water leaks out under the unit when using the upholstery attachment?

You may wish to check and see if the leak is where the small water supply hose is plugged in to the cleaner base. That connecction supplies water from the product, to the spray end on the upholstery hose.

Hoover Steam Vac V2 Deep Cleaner leaking clean water

Fill the tank and determine if the plastic is leaking, or if the valves are leaking. if the tank is cracked, it would need replaced. There is an improved design now available.

You may cycle the valves on the bottom with the eraser end of a pencil.
