Hello Mrs Rivers21

I need a bit more information on the problem:
1) Make and model of barcode scanner
*This is located on the manufacturers sticker usually on the base of the handle*

2) And also what operating system you are using, this could either be windows, macintosh, linex or a custom system in rare cases.
*this is prompted on start up of the computer, and is in most cases being the most popular, would be either windows or macintosh*

By providing this information, the solution of rather fixing the issue with the barcode scanner will be swift and simple to diagnose. Thus not finding it nessary to "reset your computer" as you have stated.

I wait with eague antisapation to your responce, to assist you to solve this issue.

Much regards
Deedl

Goodluck!

Restore back to factory settings

If you don't mind loosing everything on the hard drive, restoring the system is fairly easy.
Locate your disks that came with the computer. In there, you should find a disk either for Vista Home or a restoration disk. Place this in the drive and reboot the computer. You may have to press a key like F8, F10, etc, during the very first startup screen to boot to the disk.

You should be able to follow on screen instructions from there.

Lost installer/set up driver linksys model wrk54G

You don't need the disk. You should be able to log-in to the web interface of the router at this URL: http://192.168.0.1/

If you don't remember the password, you'll have to reset the router to factory defaults and then log-in with password "admin".

I want to reset my laptop to factory settings? How do I do this?

Do you have the restore disks? If you put the restore disk in your disk drive you should be able to follow the steps to reset to factory settings. When I did this to my computer, I chose the box that said "Restore computer to out of the box state"

BEFORE you do this, you should back up any text and image files that you want to keep. After resetting, your files will be lost and you will have to reinstall any programs or files that did not originally come on your computer.
