Hi there!

sorry to hear that =( dont turn on a phone right after it gets wet. it will be grounded. you have to blow dry it enough (turn on, turn off the blower, dont let it heat up much, just let air blowing it) or let it sit in front of an electric fan. if you know how to open it up, get the housing (casing) of the phone, get the battery, simcard let them all dry for half a day. (better if you can bring it to your local technician since they have tools to use to open up the whole phone and let dry its inside). but yeah, the best suggestion would be to take it to a local shop so they can check if its already grounded and dead or if they can still make use of its chip and all.

Open up your phone and put a single layer of kitchen roll and wrap around phone, then place phone into a bowl of dry rice for 24 hours, and that will dry your phone out,or try a hair dryer.

Often, when electronics get wet, they cannot be repaired... like dropping cell phone in bucket of water.

I have dropped my E5 into the bath

Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone remove the battery and SIM card. When you have driedthe cell phone by putting in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours then reassemblethe phone. Hopefully it will work properly but if does not work then it isfaulty and you need a new cell phone.

I drop my motorola droid 2 phone in the pool. dried phone w/ hair dryer and put in rice for 3 dayscbut does not work Can it be reset?

It is very likely that you caused a short circuit when it got wet.
If you shorted the battery you can replace it. If you shorted the phone itself it will need to be repaired or replaced. You should contact your cellular provider for more assistance.

Good luck!

I droped my voyager in water

if you drop your cell phone in water is to remove the battery immediately without even hesitating to turn off the power. This reduces the risk of a short circuit which would render your phone useless. Dry the batter with a towel and set aside to dry thoroughly.

After you have removed the battery, dry off the cell phone with an absorbent towel as best as you can. Use cotton swabs to soak up water in crevices and on any fragile, exposed circuits.

If you have dropped your cell phone in water, it is also helpful to disassemble it if you can and let all the parts dry separately.

Just be sure that you know how to put it back together. If it is a flip or sliding cell phone, leave it open for maximum evaporation.

If you drop your cell phone in liquid that isn’t pure water, you may want to try giving it an alcohol bath.

The alcohol will displace minerals and microscopic substances as well as aiding in the evaporation of the fluid. If it is available, you should use an alcohol concentration of 95% rather than rubbing alcohol that usually contains only 70%.

Once your phone is clean, leave it in a warm dry area or near an air conditioner for three days before you attempt to replace the battery and turn it on. This is very important, because although you may think that you have thoroughly dried it, the slightest moisture can react with the battery and cause it to short circuit. If drop your cell phone in water, and want to save it, resist the temptation of turning it on to see if it is working until you have waited at least 72 hours.

My Pantech Breeze just went through the wash. What can I

Take the battery out and turn the phone upside down so any extra water in it will drain out. After you do that take a hair dryer and turn it on to the lowest setting and try drying it that way. With it being in water for so long I am not sure it will work but these things are worth a try. Once you dry it with the hair dryer put the battery in and see if it will turn on. If it doesn't then it is more then likely shot. Good luck.
