My clothes are covered in lint

Hello Pam, Take the lint screen over to the sink and gently wash it in dish soap and water. Let it dry and try it. Sometimes the small holes in the lint screen plug up from using fabric softener and/or fabric softener sheets. It doesn't take much to restrict the airflow through the lint screen.

Is there a way to access the area under the removable lint catcher or should I just use a hanger

I have successfully taken the front of that off and cleaned it out. However, it isn't easy and I could see where it may result in a broken lint catch if not careful. After taking the front panel off - which is a pain in and of itself - you will need to carefully go around the lint catcher and separate it. It is in two halves that are held together by catches all around.

BOSCH WTE84100 CONDENSOR DRYER .will not start .Power display on and flashing ,all filter are clean, but machine beeps when try to start.

Two Beeps means a thermal overload but also means one of the thermal sensors is faulty .... as if it is always on.
Open the door, pull out the lint catcher and clean around the silver probe (it's like a shiny 1/8" nail sticking into the cavity below the lint catcher). If it still doesn't work (and still 2 beeps), just flick it lightly a couple of times. If it still doesn't work, flick again from the other direction.

I have a Maytag neptune dryer model # MDE5500AY. I smelled a smokey and electrical smell tonight. What's going on? Lint catcher is clean and I also clean around dryer. House was built in 2004 and dryer is...

the fault is lint build up around the dyer element the element must be cleared of all lint after years of use despite having a catcher lint does get into the dryer in time it will build around the heating element and start to burn this is unsightly but more so very dangerous as it does cause house fires have the element cleaned

best of luck

My dryer take too long to dry the clothes.

hello. When the dryer takes too long, it is a sign that lint has built up in the vent pipe, in the rear of the dryer or even in the lint catcher. Check out all of these areas and remove the lint.

Whirlpool dryer lint screen will not slide back into receptacle.

YOU PROBABLY WILL HAVE TO OPEN THIS DRYER UP BY REMOVING THE BACK COVER. ALSO WHERE YOUR LINT FILTER GOES IN AT THERE WILL BE 2 SCREWS UNDER THAT LID TAKE THEM OUT AND PRY THE TOP UP AT THE EDGES ON THE FRONT BETWEEN THE TOP AND FRONT PANELS. THEN REMOVING THE DOOR SWITCH WIRES AND THE 2 SCREWS THAT HOLD THE FRONT PANEL TO THE CABINET AND LIFTING THE FRONT PANEL UP AND OUT. NOTE THE DRUM WILL FALL A COUPLE OF INCHES. NOW YOU CAN UNDO THE DRUM BELT AND REMEMER HOW IT GOES BACK IN. THEN REMOVE THE DRUM. NOW LOOK TO THE RIGHT OF YOUR LINT CATCHER COMPARTEMENT. YOU WILL SEE 2 5/16 HEX HEAD SCREWS, REMOVE THEM. NOW GO TO THE REAR OF THE DRYER AND REMOVE THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE LINT CATCHER COMPARTMENT TO THE BLOWER HOUSING. NOW GO BACK TO THE FRONT AND SLIGHTLY PULL THE BULKHEAD WHERE YOU PREVIOUSLY REMOVED THE 2 HEX HEADS(ABOUT AN INCH APART) TOWARD YOU WHILE PUSHING THE CATHER COMPARTMENT AWAY TO DISENGAGE IT, AND NOW YOU CAN SLIDE IT OUT AND CLEAN THE GROOVES THAT THE LINT CATCHER SLIDE INTO. REASSEMBLY IS IN REVERSE. iF THIS SCARES YOU TOO MUCH TO DO TRY RUNNING A WIRE CLOTHES HANGER WITH A SLIGHT HOOK IN IT DOWN EACH SIDE OF THE GROOVE TO POSSIBLY CLEAR AWAY THE OBSTRUCTION. SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO DISASSEMBLE IT, TAKE THE TIME TO VACUUM OUT ALL THE LINT BUILT UP IN THE CABINET, ON THE MOTOR, THE BLOWER WHEEL, AND ANYWHERE ELSE YOU CAN GET A VACUUM HOSE TO FIT OR GO. GOOD LUCK AND I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. P.S DON'T FORGET TO HOOK THE DOOR SWITCH WIRES BACK ON. THAT SEEMS TO BE MY DOWNFALL WHEN WORKING ON DRYERS, AND YES IT MEANS RE-OPEN AND HOOK UP, BUT I'M GETTING BETTER AT IT. :)))

I own a whirlpool gold dryer about 4 years old. I empty the lint catcher frequently. I noticed however, that sand has accumulated inside the dryer, I hear the sound when the dryer starts tumbling. How...

not as hard as it will sound here we go
remove the lint filter
remove the 2 phillips screws at the filter housing top you will see these screws after you have pulled out the lint filter
unplug the dryer
remove the back panel
on the left side is the lint filter housing it is held in place with 4 1/4 inch screws remove them
lift up on the filter housing and pull forward you will find the sand inside the filter housing use a vac to **** it out and reassemble the dryer, no more sand
