Question about Canon ZR200 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Greetings - It could be a couple of things: It is very unlikely that it has to do with the battery (unless it isn't fully charged)
First is the possibility that the tape from sitting has gotten a bit of "stiction" which just means that the tape doesn't move smoothly on the hub - The cure usually is to fast forward all the way to the end and then rewind to the other end and then try it.
If that doesn't work I would get (you should have one anyway).a DV tape head cleaning cassette and use it as directed. Run it twice.
If that doesn't help you would have a real possibility of a damaged tape or camera tape heads.
Was the camera stored in a nice cozy room temperature place? Hopefully not somewhere where there was heat or moisture.
Good Luck and thanks for using Fix Ya
