OK! It is often the problem of the memory card. Have you restored anything important on this camera memory card?
If you have not, you can directly format this memory card and see whether it can be read on this camera. Otherwise, you have to change another one.
But, if you do have stored something important on this memory card, you'd better firstly apply a camera memory card data recovery freeware to successfully restore all your saved data back:
http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/04/memory-card-error.html
In fact, this data recovery freeware has helped many people get back their inaccessible data back from their drive or memory card. So, I believe it will also work well on your memory card.
Just try to download it here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/03/memory-card-recovery.html
Note: Always back up everything important well at least on two cards or drivers next time.

You probably have a card error because you have not formatted the card, lately.

Memory cards should generally be formatted everytime AFTER you have safely uploaded all images to your computer and you then want to delete them all off your card.

If the images/videos you currently have on the card are not too important, then you should try formatting the card. This is usually done in the camera's Menu. Check your user manual.

But, if the images are extremely important to you, then you will need to use a card recovery software program in order to try and recover the images. You will need to use your memory card with a card reader, which then plugs into your computer's USB port.

If the card still has errors after trying to format etc, then your best option is to just buy a new memory card (they're dirt cheap), because the card may be at fault.
Make sure you Format a new card before you use it and also everytime after you have uploaded all images to your computer. Doing this will prevent card errors.

good luck... Source(s): free card recovery program...

When I turn on my digital camera the lens opens and closes and then the screen appears and says system error and shuts off compleatly what do I do?

Hello,

Remove any storage cards that may be in the camera, replace the batteries (or put on charger if not replaceable). Try to turn the camera on, if you still get the error, contact Sanyo for help in trying a master reset for the camera. If the error resolves itself, turn it off, put the storage card back in. If the error appears again, then you have a problem with the storage card. Replace the storage card with a different one, and see if error resolves.

When i turn the camera on it says memory ard error

Hi,
If camera show Memory Card Error, Check whether the card is inserted properly or not. For SD card, check out the card lock switch is in the correct position and not stuck in between.
You can Format the memory card in the camera using the Setup Menu option (Format). Please be aware that formatting the memory card will remove any images currently stored on the card along with any other data.
If after formatting the card do not clear the error, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service.
Rating the solution is highly appriciated...Good Luck

Error on formating new memory card in camera error says memory card is full brand new card i tried 2 in faact same error kodak c310

The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Memory card error with new memory card

Hi there, welcome to FixYa.

Let's work on the camera first.
1) Turn the camera off and remove the battery and the card.
2) Put the battery back in without the card and turn it on.
3) Turn the camera off and insert the CF card.
4) Turn the camera back on again.
See if that takes the message away.

If it doesn't leave me a comment and we go to step 2.
If it does, thanks for coming to FixYa.

MEMORY CARD ERROR

I will give you the steps that you can isolate whether memory card or the reader has malfunction. check the memory card with external card reader by connecting to computer if card really bad it will alert either error or unformatted (make sure write protection of the card is off if exist). When you format in computer successfully it can work in camera too. If issue persist in camera side you can try another card and next step will be hardware repair of camera reader. hope it will help.
Good Luck

The camera screen displays error message

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card. CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.
