That depends on the model and brand of phone you're gonna buy. but if you're buying the latest models, most of them have caller groups.

Phone works put nothing shows up in the screen for numbers is there something I can do to fix this ?

Is it fully charged? How old is your phone? Did your caller ID service get changed?

There are ways people can manipulate their outgoing calls so that they do not send out any caller ID information. That would only impact that individual or group of callers, not a wide variey of people. If this is more than one caller, I suggest you contact your provider to verify your services have not been altered.

I HAVE A PANASONIC KX-TGA402 CALLER ID NOT WORKING

I purchased one cordless telephone (Siemens Gigaset) in Germany. I also had the same problem, caller-id did not work. I purchased this telephone because we can set different ringtones for different caller groups. But, if caller-id doesn't work, this feature also doesn't work. I had gone through internet and finally found that CA electronics, Bangalore has it and got it through courier (I live in Pondicherry). It worked flawlessly for two years. Then it stopped working. For 'no reason' I ordered for a 'caller-id' unit on ebay for Rs.75/- (+ Rs.75 shipping). I just got the unit and fixed it to my line. Very very surprisingly, my cordless telephone is now showing caller info. This is a real surprise to me. By the way, caller-id unit is "Eurotel" make, DTMF/FSK caller-id. I feel this is very nice solution. The 'caller-id' unit is nice (backlit display) and also there is no need of converter for using the caller-id feature of your foreign telephone. I connected caller-id between the line and telephone. That's all. Enjoy.

How can i disable busy tone sent on W595

The busy tone from your cellphone is sent when you are busy with one call & there is another incoming call. The following solution is only not to avoid certain callers or to avoid all callers. It may or may not serve your purpose. For this facility to work you have to make group/s of the certain callers & select them in manage calls.
If you want to disable busy tone sent, you can do it by selecting menu - settings - calls - manage calls - accept calls - only from list or none. In this case the person at the other end will receive "not reachable" message.Selecting only from list allows you to receive the calls from the selected groups/callers from your list. Selecting none will not allow anyone to call you. But in both the cases only you will know that who has called you & not the caller that you received missed calls.

We have a KX-T7630 Panasonic phone system and we need to attach a caller id that diplays at least 20 calls; are they all compatible or do I need to buy a specific one?

It doesn't work that way. First of all, you install a caller-id card in your system, then the installer programs a call log button on a phone. This can log all calls into an ICD group and you get a maximum of 100 records per ICD group and a minimum of 480 records per system in a TDA-50. Those numbers change for ICD groups and increase on a TDA/TDE 100 or larger system.

Unless you understand and have access to system programming, it's a dealer program function.

How do i allocate a certain ringtone to a caller

unfortunately in samsung j700...doesn't provide the facility u mentioned
but it allows user to assign particular ringtone and callerid for some group of contacts...
the group may have 1 or more contacts so saving each contacts in each seperate group may indirectly met ur requirement

By creating groups of contacts, you can assign
ringtones and caller ID photos to each group or send
messages and emails to an entire group. Start by
creating a group:
1. In Idle mode, press <Menu> → Phonebook →
Group → <Options> → Add.
2. Enter a group name and scroll down.
3. To set the caller ID image, press the Centre key
→ an image category → an image.
4. To set a group ringtone, scroll down and press
the Centre key → a ringtone category → a
ringtone.
5. Press <Save>.

I have a network of samsungiDCS 28D phones. The phone in my office does not ring or show caller id. I want it to ring and show caller ID, how do I program it?

Hi you need to add your extension to the group that your phone rings in to. usually this is gruop 500. you can check this in MMC 714 in customer programming. I have attached a video showing how to add members to groups, there are 60+ relating to the Samsung iDCS range at www.abbeytelecom.com

I have SciPhone I68++- ID groups

There are two ways to organize it by groups: 1. tap on the phone book icon (some says name, others phone) a new window open with various choices, there must be one that read Caller Group. Tap it, and choose whichever you want to edit. You must have all your contacts in your phone in order to add them in the callers group. 2. Have all your contacts copy from the sim to the phone, and edit them. As you scroll down, you'll notice that the very last one in the field says caller group. Here you can choose to which caller group you want to edit the contact.
