Question about Casio FX-250HC Calculator
Your model isn't listed, but read rules Calculators are only allowed to be used on the mathematics test; however, a calculator is not necessary to take the exam. Any student who attempts to use a calculator on the science exam will be dismissed and the worksheet will not be scored. It is the student's responsibility to make sure they bring sufficient batteries and that the calculator works properly. Test center personnel do not have backup calculators or batteries.
Only certain types of calculators may be used during the test. Most four-function, scientific or graphing calculators are permitted, but some features may have to be disabled before the calculator can be used. Devices that include calculators among their functions-cell phones, laptops, PDAs-are forbidden, as are calculators with built-in algebra capabilities or QWERTY keyboard buttons. Also, certain specific models of calculators are forbidden, including the following: all Texas Instruments model numbers that begin with TI-89 and TI-92, as well as the TI-Nspire CAS (the non-CAS TI-Nspire is allowed); the Hewlett-Packard hp 48GII model and all model numbers that begin with hp 40G, hp 49G, or hp 50G; the Casio Algebra fx 2.0, ClassPad 300, and all model numbers that begin with CFX-9970G; and all electronic writing pads or pen-input devices, except for the Sharp EL 9600.
As mentioned previously, certain calculators can be used after extra features are disabled. Calculators that use paper tape, for example, may be used after the tape roll is removed. If the student has a model that makes sounds, disabling the sound feature makes the calculator acceptable for use during the test. For calculators that can communicate wirelessly, infrared ports must be covered with opaque material (such as electrician's tape or duct tape) of sufficient thickness to block infrared signals; the Hewlett-Packard hp-38G and hp-48G series are examples of this device type. Also, calculators with power cords must have the cords removed before they can be used during the exam.

Familiarize yourself with the driver's license exam and the exam content. Be sure to pick up a copy of the driver's license review booklet for your state. This booklet will contain information about taking the driver's license exam as well as content information. Most driver's license review booklets will also contain information about driving laws and rules that you will need to learn in order to do well on the driver's license exam the first time.
Study for the written test. Even longtime drivers may not remember all of the specific driving rules and laws for their state. Any prospective driver will have to study long and hard in order to learn all of the applicable rules and laws. If you don't pass the written portion of your driver's license exam, you can't pass the exam as a whole. Be sure to spend plenty of time studying and quizzing yourself on the information before you go to take the test.
Practice your driving skills and techniques for the driving portion of the driver's license exam. You can obtain information about the specific driving skills you will need to demonstrate on this portion of the exam from the driver's license review booklet for your state. Get in a car with a licensed driver, such as your parent, and practice these skills. Make sure that you can do all of these skills smoothly while following applicable driving rules and regulations. If you have difficulty performing any of these driving tasks, continue to practice until you can do them perfectly before you go to take the driver's license exam for the first time.
Consider taking a driving training course. You can take such courses in person in a classroom setting or by using a book, video tape or DVD. Many of these in person driving training courses also contain behind the wheel training so you can get comfortable with your driving techniques and skills on the road. All of the available training courses will help you learn and review your state's driving laws and rules, which will help you pass your driver's license exam the first time.
