Question about Dell Latitude C840 Notebook
I've had to do this before. Call up Dell tech support and assuming you
can provide proof of ownership then they'll give you the reset code
based on what's on the screen when you try to log in to the BIOS.This is the best way to solve that issue.
Even if you cannot prove purchase proof they will give you a reset code. Just contact them removing battery and other suggestions will not work it is a dedicated BIOS on a separate chip. I hope that this gets you pointed in the right direction. Just go to Dell.com Thanks for using FixYa! John
