This has not worked, just the paper is beginning to tear as it is really tight around the roller. I have looked for a paper release lever but other than the 2 at the back which haven't done anything, i can't see one

Brilliant help. Just saved me sending it away for repair again and having to wait two months to get it back. A million thanks Daniel for your help. Worth every penny!

Please do not touch the fuser while opening the top cover of the printer because it is hot and may cause burns due to its operating temperature being 356 degree F. Try to pull out the paper tray out of the printer and open the rear cover. Now carefully remove the paper by pulling in the upward direction. If there is some resistance from removing it then stop pulling and push the fuser levers upwards. Open the top and inner covers and while holding the inner cover open take out the jammed paper carefully. The inner cover will then close automatically. Now close the top cover and make sure that it is closed securely. Please also make sure that whole of the sheet is pulled out and there is no paper is stuck. Push the fuser levers down and close the front or rear cover to start printing normally. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

There is a paper jam in my hp laserjet 3055 printer and I don't know where is the door of this printer to remove the anybody please help me out.

Remove the cartridge from the printer and look for the obstructing paper especially in the arms of the paper detector switches (2 nos. in the path). If you cant see any, the paper has most likely wrapped around the pressure roller / tafflon sleeve in the fuser. Carefully remove the plate just above the cartridge labelled "Caution Hot - Avoid Contact" (after the printer has been in power OFF mode and has cooled down) by removing the two screws on either side. See if the paper has wrapped around the rollers - remove and fit back the plate. In case of repeating problem look for damages to pressure roller and the tefflon sleeve. Have the fuser serviced in that case.

HOW DO I CLEAR THE PAPER JAM 1? I opened all the doors and checked to see if any paper is stuck somewhere. There is nothing to keep it from starting again.

Did you check the fusing section from back door? When you open the rear door you can access the fusing unit (hotest place!!!). Sometimes the paper stacks below the stripping pawls of hot roller and you can't see it easy. Look harder! Pull out the whole paper tray and check below (printer bottom) for paper sheet. Lift upper cover and remove cartridge. You will see little green lever. Lift it up! Look for piece of paper around the little black pawl (paper sensor after registration roller). Restart printer!
Good luck

I have a Samsung SCX-4600, great machine but I've got a paper jam and I can't get at it - the troubleshooting guide is very helpful for jams everywhere except in this location - the paper has wrapped...

it sounds like it is wrapped around the fuser roller. is the roller around an inch or 2 around? if so it is the fuser roller and be carefull to no scratch this roller or you will get all jams. the fuser can be taken out with care to look at all the plugs and screws.

Dell 922 all in one printer pulls 1/4 of paper thru then stops and message reads load paper; then press menu. It seems to be pulling to one side when it feeds.

sounds almost like theirs something causing the track to hang up. i bet a ripped or shredded piece of paper, maybe it wrapped around the track that pulls the paper in. track meaning the rollers, they have been known to get stuck. open your back access panel and see if theirs a clog. also note: some but few printers will work with the access panel off in the back. watch the paper feed and see if you can figure out why its locking up.

Paper jam, unable to pull paper out

Yeah, I would be careful though and only take out what screws you have to and document where they came from.

My OKI 5200 is saying it has a paper jam open front cover there is no paper jammed and i have looked everywhere for a problem and cannot find one. Still it won't print until the paper jam problem is...

Mine did the same once and although at first I was convinced it was the printer reading incorrectly, in the end, after opening all the parts that open up, I did find a sheet of paper wrapped around the rollers at the back.

Paper Jam that pulls paper to the right and crooked then get error message no paper

You have either a rubber roller that has gone completely bad or more likely there is something still stuck in the printer - probably a piece of paper wrapped around part of the feed roller. Open it up and examine carefully with a flashlight. If you can't find any foreign objects then wipe down all the rubber rollers with denatured alcohol.

Paper wrapped around the red roller

lift the cover remove all the cartridges and the drum unit slowly and carefully and slightly pull the upper side of the paper not the lowerside and if it is rolled completely you have to open the heater unit to remove if you donot have any technical knowledge do not try because the red roll you are taking is a costly thing, call the service technician and get it repaired that would be more cheaper.
