My Nokia E72 doesn't switch on. I had switched it off when I received the message saying " Memory full. Close some applications". I've removed and placed the battery several times but in vain. Please help me ASAP.

Tip

Cant send messages but can receive nokia 5320 5800 e63 e72 series 60 phones etc.

If you cant send messages but can receive one using your nokia s60 phone, you phone's internal memory may be full with unused files. You need to refresh your phone's memory. Simply restore it to factory settings. (Hard Reset).
By resetting your phone, this will delete all the data on your phone so don't forget to back-up your files and remove it before resetting your phone.
Switch the phone off. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the * key and the number '3'. While you are holding these keys, switch the phone on. Don't release these three keys before you see the Nokia logo.
or just simply dial *#7370# on your phone's home screen.

I hav d nokia E63..! & i cannot send any msgs.....it says "memory full , close some applications first...(& i hav absolutely no applications on except messaging)...... before it said that...

hi, the memory might truly be full...check your memory status and see if truly it is full....if after checking, you realized that it is full, then you will have to delete some messages and delete some applications that you use less often..but, if you check your memory status and you realize you still have space, then it means you will have to scan for virus.
cheers

I can't open a sms, keep receiving the message "memory is full, close some applications and try again". I've closed all, what am I missing?

Have you tried:

1) delete some old messages (especially the SENT folder)
2) delete some pictures or videos

This should open-up some memory for you to use.

I keep having an error come up saying Messaging: Memory full close some applications. I have also had an error saying General: Memory full close some applications. I have no applications open can you...

clear your browser cache as well

set your messages in messaging - options- settings - other to 999 and e memory.

restore factory settings *#7780# default code is 12345 that might just might help you a bit and turn off and on your phone when you do all these things see if it helps any.

“Memory Full…Close some applications and try again” is a normal
message that usually comes on Nokia N70. It showed the memory used in the phone doesn’t have space anymore. But if the message still appears although the user already closed some applications it can be theproblem.
Someone who experience in this memory full problem said, an error message of memory full like above is appears each time he’s opened the
Camera. It also happens for a few times when he’s trying to open
messages, Gallery, or other applications. And then it will force to restart the phone.
Seems like it’s a RAM problem and might there are some applications unable to close completely. If your Nokia N70 phone has gone a start
menu button you can try to hold it down. This way will show you
everything that you have open and they can be closed easily so that
you can continue to take your photos.
So if it can resolve the problem you can reset/format by pressing *#7370#
