Question about Blueant Z9 Wireless Headset

Z9 not recognized by new phone

I crushed my phone and when the new one came (same Moto V365) can't get phone to 'find' same Z9. Have powered everything on and off. AT&T can't help...no surprise there.

All you do is hold down the volume up and down buttons along with the silver button on top simultaneously for just a second and the blue light will stay on. (yes, you will need both hands to do this) You are now in the pairing mode. Follow intructions on your phone and it should work. I got this solution at Blueant 1-866-891-3032.

Reset the z9 by pressing the vol -/+ and MFB all at the exact same time. make sure you click them all at once like a mouse to a computer, do not hold them. When you get a consistent rapid flash go to your phones bluetooth menu and search for devices. select the Z9 and enter the pin code 0000 if prompted.

Blackberry 9700 cannot find blueantz91

Try resetting the Z9. With the device powered on, press the vol -/+ and MFB all at the exact same time. Ensure the buttons are not held, simply clicked all at once like a mouse to a computer. Once you get a consistent rapid flash the device has been reset and will go automatically into pair mode, it should now show up when you search for it in your phones bluetooth menu.

I can't get my Blueant to synch with my new iphone. It sits there and says Searching. It worked well with my old phone.

Un-synch with your old device by holding down all three buttons (volume up, volume down, and the main button) at the same time for 10 seconds. The Blueant will no longer be synched with your old phone and is free to synch with your new one.

Can't pair Z9 with my blackberry 8120

Turn off your Z9
Turn the bluetooth feature ON on your 8120
Start the search for the bluetooth device
When the search starts, press and hold your ANT logo-button for about 6 seconds on your Z9.
First it will light up blue then starts flashing continuously.
Your phone should find it now with no problem!
Good Luck!

If everything is workon g on both devices you probably need a memory dump on your headset.

6. Check iphone it should now recognize device.
7. When Blue Ant shows up on phone press it so it completes the pairing priocess

Good luck!

I cannot remember how to pair BlueAnt bluetooth to new devices

You will need to set the Z9 into pairing mode before your iPhone will find it.

The manual for the z9 is here

With the Z9 OFF, Press and Hold the MFB for about 6 seconds. The LED will appear a solid Blue, and then will start flashing. The Z9 is now in Pairing mode and ready to be found in searches by other Bluetooth devices. Pairing mode will be active for 2 minutes.

Enter Passkey "0000" when your phone prompts you. The phone and Z9 will now Pair.

There is an undocumented solution to link difficult devices. Instead of pushing ad releasing, hold either button down until you get a FAST BLINK and then try linking again.
