Lexmark 5070 I need to reinstall the pritner it's not working... I've tried to download the driver from the internet but it's not working!!

    Got a new computer. Installed the 5070 software. When it's time to connect USB cable, the software freezes at that point. The page says 'connect your printer'....I click on 'connect USB cable now', but the 'continue' tab won't work. I've deleted then reinstalled both the hardware and software about a dozen times, but it's always the same.

remove old printer s/w first from control panel, add/remove programs

go to www.lexmark.com and look under your model number and then operating system

get the full version

download..install

try it again..

What is the version of your Mac operating system? It would be best that you uninstall any existing printer driver first > reboot your computer > then reinstall the printer driver.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X5470 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Then try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers if you don't have a disk with the sound drivers you have to download them

When it says select a printer the type i has does not show up
You must not have the driver installed. Go to:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=productSelection&linkSelected=node0&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_US
To download the correct driver (software) for your printer.

Just follow instructions on the page. When you have located the correct driver for your printer and your Operating System, download the driver to your desktop.
When it is completely downloaded, turn off the internet, your virus control and all other running programs.
Turn off your printer and unplug it from the PC.Click on the driver to install it.
When it is finished, plug your pritner back in and restart the computer.

Be sure to turn your virus control back on immediately if it does not automatically come back on after the restart.

I bought a print/ fax machine from Wal-mart. Lexmark X5070 the installation disk is scratched can you help me?
You can take it back to Walmart for a new CD... probably replace the whole unit. Or contact Lexmark technical support to ship you a new one. In the mean time, you can download the basic driver from Lexmark.

Go to www.lexmark.com and click on DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS. Then use the DRIVER FINDER. In SEARCH BY MODEL, type in 5070 and you can choose a driver from there.
