Question about SMC EZ SMCGS24-Smart 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (SMCGS24SMART)

Open Question

I made the mistake of unplugging my already set-up and working SMCGS24 to move it. I disconnected all the port connected thinking that the port configuration was not an issue as all 24 port automatically senses and adjusts to its port speed to optimize your network bandwidth. so i just plugged them back in to any port available now my network and internet has issues.

Check connections. If you disconnected and plugs, cords, or attachments; then go over the re-connections to see if they are properly affixed or properly attached to correct ports.

I have a strict nat cant change to open nat

All of the other answers are right but may not fix your problem. Sometimes it is just as simple as rebooting your router and checking connections so first I suggest you disconnect the routers power, unplug all other cords from it and set it aside. Unplug the LAND line from the wall outlet and then securely reinsert it. Now that your router has been disconnected from power for at least 10 seconds, it has already rebooted while you did te other stuff. Now just securely reconnect all cords back into the router leaving the power cord for last. The router should take 30 seconds to 5 minutes to not back up and have connectivity. Check your settings and if it worked, your welcome but if not THEN and only then try going into the setting and opening ports, just know to get there, you will need to know your IP Address. Please let me know if I helped and if you need more help or clarification

I cannot get the Input 3 HDMI port to work. The Input 3 Componet videoworks, but when I unplug the componet video and put in HDMI port nothing works. I do have something else in the HDMI Input 1 port...

To start ensure that each time you connect or disconnect the HDMI ports both TV and connected device are off.

Also ensure that HDMI input is active, as detailed here.

HDMI connectors carry voltage, and connecting the HDMI cable while TV or device is on may easily damage the HDMI port, making it unusable.

The HDMI 3 and Component 3 are separate input. The component input may work, and HDMI port may still be defective.

To test the port do the following:

Disconnect TV power cord, and connected device (eg. Receiver, DVD etc.).
Leave units disconnected for five minutes.

While power is disconnected, test connecting on port three a device that was previously working on HDMI 1. Also use a cable that you know is working.

Connect back power with HDMI cable already connected. If HDMI 3 is still not detected, then the port is defective.

In that case ring Pioneer at the number listed on the owners manual. This model is often advertised as only two HDMI inputs. Call Pioneer to ensure the third port can be enabled.

Only one computer is able to get online out of the

If you are connecting the switch to a single port broadband modem/router then you will only get one ip address, therefore only one connection to the internet. If you buy a broadband router with multiple ports, with a builtin dhcp server that gives all other pcs on the network a private ip address, then all connected pcs will get access to the internet as it is routed over the single public ip address given by the isp (even if you use a switch as well!!).

When i ture my bluetooth something popup that you must set bd address please help me

The address isn’t something that can be set, that’s a MAC address - it’s the unique identifier for the bluetooth chip on the phone (all network cards have them).
I would hazard a guess that either your bluetooth stack on the phone is goosed or the chipset itself.
Try this:
Turn the Bluetooth Off, disconnect it from the PC, turn it on, re-connect it to the PC.
Go Start -> (All) Programs -> QPST -> QPST Configuration.
Click on the PORTS tab.
Bluetooth Address:
Since you upgraded the phone, you already have the usb drivers.
Now, launch the QPST configurator.
Click on "add new port"
Type the port number your phone is using now. (you put it COM5, COM10, etc, its just one example) -----------------If you already added your port in QPST then skip this.
Now, launch the NV editor, maximize the window.
on connect, select the com port, and press connect server.
press the file button and select upload all from mobile
Then, press the search button, and type "447"
Move the file to the "selected" window.
Once you double click it, in another window you will see loads of firlds with 0
Change the to 1, all of them.
also, change the string value to "true"
Now, you press the "file" button and press "download selected & active to mobile"
Disconnect the server, close the program, unplug the phone, and restart the phone.
Now, try to enable the bluetooth.

Remember, once you do the 6th image step, you go to connection and select disconnect server.
All fixed!

Good Luck & Thanks,

Ricoh Aficio 1027 network connection problem with vista x86

It will not work to directly connect a network cable directly from the network port of the printer directly to your computer. You will have to use a cross-over cable and configure your TCP/IP settings manually. However, to utilize network printing and have internet access, you will want to get a router and connect your modem to the ethernet port of the router, then a network cable from pc to switch port on router, and a network cable from printer to a differnt switch port on router. Most consumer routers have a built in 4-port switch, so that should allow enough connections. You may want to consult a local IT company or Ricoh dealer for the rest of the setup. This will allow the framework for network printing and/or scanning.

Internet connection-Linksys Wireless B

Did you move the router out of range of the computer? It sounds like you put it back where it was but I just thought I'd ask.

Otherwise, use your wired connection to check the router settings. It is possible that the wireless settings defaulted due to the disconnection. You can either set the router to match your wireless computer if you can remember, or just set up a fresh wireless connection between the two.

Mouse problem

If you have the CD software program for your mouse reinstall it but first disconnect the mouse receiverfrom the USB port and than during install of the program it will ask you to connect the receiver to the USB port. Then do so and it should work.
Worth a try at this point. Hope it helps. Bud
