Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Hello Fixya - I have recently bought a Lexmark Prestige Pro 805 printer. It has worked ok from the beginning, but suddenly after having printed about 50 pages the printer won't grab the paper from the paper cassette. It tells me to insert the cassette and press continue. I have done that several times but it simply won't succeed. What is going on here? In hope for an answer Orla B. Larsen Struer, Denmark

    Thanks for your answer and suggestions hence my problem with the paper feed.



    However it is not about the ADF but about the paper tray on the machine where I load my A4 paper.



    It tries 2 times to fetch the paper and then it says ding - ding and a yellow triangle appears saying to insert the paper tray - but the problem is that is is already there and filled with paper.

    Ok it has a 5-year warranty, so that is ok.



    I wonder if it is a general problem regarding this Pro 805 as it is my third printer with this problem ! !

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya,

It seems like you're having difficulties with the device's ADF (Auto Document Feeder). I have included a link below where you will find detailed solutions surrounding this, as well as guidance in proper usage, et al.

We can attribute this problem to the 'mechanical' area of the printer but we also have to ensure that we are feeding the paper correctly :

Once you got the page up, next thing to do is to look for "Top Articles" tab at the bottom. Click it and you'll find a list. Choose "ADF feed issues on the S and Pro series products" and you'll get the tech support page with all the details on how to tackle this problem, and more.

    Thanks for responding.

    I think this require a more hardcore approach, such as parts replacement. If this printer's still under warranty, you can find the Lexmark support line in the same link I provided to inquire for repair/replacement options.

I have Lexmark Prestige 805 It seems like I keep losing my printer connection, I have to turn the power off the printer and back on again to make it work or re-download the print driver. I used to have...


Please follow the steps below to fix the problem you are experiencing:
First, uninstall your existing printer driver from your computer.
  1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
  2. Go to Programs.
  3. Go to Lexmark folder.
  4. Pro800 Series folder.
  5. Uninstall Lexmark Pro800 Series.
After the uninstall process, reboot your pc when prompted. When your computer turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Take note of the System Type if it's a 32-bit or 64-bit.
Second, use the link below to download and install the Lexmark Prestige Pro805 driver for Windows 7 from the Lexmark website. Use the correct driver for your operating system.

Documents will not print--blank pages. New cartridges have been installed.

Can't print blue on lexmark prestige pro805


Try getting a print head cleaner for this model. If that doesn't work you may need to send in for factory repair.

When I try to print to the unit from the wireless functionality it will just not start printing. This is coming from when the unit hasn't printed for a while. I notice that it will usually have issues...


It sounds like your printer is having trouble waking up from sleep mode. Make sure your printer is updated. HOW TO CONNECT A LEXMARK PRO 805 TO MY COMPUTER


Attach the supplied USB cable to the printer and connect it to the computer's USB port.
then install the printer driver for your model printer.
