This issue appears sometimes for having antenna power enabled.
The solution is to reset the eeprom.

Go to the service menu by pressing menu key on remote control, then press 9, 3, 0 and 1.

Write down all values and proceed to reset eeprom.

After reset, enter service menu again and check all the values are the same as before. If not, correct them.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem - my Bush IDLCD26TV07HD TV has been freezing frequently when watching television. It runs perfectly thru my xbox but after watching a few mins of TV it freezes and goes to the "please wait while..." screen.

I tried the above, but I cant find a service menu from the menu key. Where can i find this eeprom thing?

Have the same issue but cannot find a reset button. There is an EEPROM EDIT menu but no reset? There is an SW UPDATE menu but every time I go on to that to do the update it just displays "PRESS OK AFTER DOWNLOAD" but no download starts it just freezes?

My channel 7 keeps freezing and comes up with no signal sometimes for days when it's though my my bush digital recorder box. But when it's just though the tv channel 7 works fine. What's going on??

Different digital boxes and tv's have different levels of RF gain. Some need more signal and some need less to work efficiently.
Possibly your Bush pvr needs a much stronger signal than your tv so the available signal is permanently on the threshold of reception and atmospheric conditions will some of the time reduce the available signal when reception will become impossible for the box but still be above the threshold for the tv set.

Modern Bush is not reknown for being a high quality brand and the purchasers of budget brand pvr's often discover reception or performance problems in fringe signal areas. Because a single aerial must receive a very wide range of frequencies it will be more efficient for some channels than others and so one channel could be a fringe channel and another channel produce a very strong frequency.

The signal strength and quality can be checked for each channel by selecting options in the menu in order to check this theory.

The problem might be solved by replacing the Bush pvr with a premium brand or replacing your aerial for a more efficient type. One of my friends had five different boxes before he gained a satisfactory performance and another friend three boxes and still has problems.
My installation has a new high gain wideband aerial on top of my 3 storey house and a distribution amplifier in the loft to keep the input lead short and the whole lot connected by very good quality double-wrapped co-ax.
I had to add different amounts of attenuation for each box or tv set but in spite of the signal being on average too strong and needing attenuating there are still channels for which the aerial is not as efficient and providing only a weak signal.

Picture freezes on Bush IDLCD26TV07HD and cant turn off.Get message

Being unable to turn off the TV at times (while otherwise being able to) is a very strong indication for a faulty main board.

In my opinion most of the low-brand TVs manuafctured lately (as actually some of the high-end brands to) are so badly built they develop such syndroms within the first year of use. It is not at all uncommon and , when on the main board, is rarely fixable meaning sometimes it is just too expensive to fix (i.e. bad BGA soldering of the main processing unit on the board) and most of the times it's just too cheap of a repair to be worth investing time to find out what exactly it is and to repair it.

For anything smaller than 42'' it's certainly the case these days so my advice to you is to find a replacement main board.

Don't kill the messenger :-)

Bush IDLCD26TV07HD , I get picture freeze when i change to channel 5 have you got any tips as to why it do`s this

I just repaired one of these that was freezing on all channels - the only solution was to turn the set off then on again - the picture also had a tendency to flicker.

I replaced all of the larger capacitors on the power board and it's fine now - I suspect the three 680uf 35v ones as the culprits.

Careful though - Bush used different power boards on these models - however all were Beko and all seem to have faulty capacity issues! A cheap fix.

IDLCD26TV07HD BUSH, i am getting picture freeze when i turn tv over to channell 5 ?

had the same problem with a tv i was given. i went to
1-menu
2-digital set
3-reset reciever, you will get asked for a pass word, i tried 12345 and it worked
4- carried out an automatic search
i tryed the tv but had same problems, i put the tv away for a couple of weeks, then i tried it again, i had one freeze at first, waited for the tv to switch itself off, switshed the tv on again and it worked for 5 hours so far and it is still working as i am writing at the moment.
was your tv subjected to some roughing up? mine spent a couple of days in the boot of a car with bad suspentions and hot weather also came from a different transmiting area.
touch wood!
good luck.

Beko 32wlu530hid keeps freezing everytime i try to change channel.have to shut tv down then turn it on again, sometimes tv stays on 20 secs - 20mins but then freezes without even touching the remote to...

H?,
This problem unfortunately very common on these TV sets..
As far as I examine the case ,I believe a component on the circuit board is not properly working..
Either there is cold soldering on the board or a dead capacitor may cause this.
Sorry but Your TV needs service..I hope you still have warranty to cover this..

Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

press the channel up and down together the menu will come up then you can use the volume up and down to toggle on what you want.if that does not work you will have to call the tech to lift off the eeprom from out of the set and resolder it back,so that the tv could reset it self.good luck.
