Question about Bionaire Heating & Cooling

Open Question

I have a BonAire Ducted Heating Unit, labelled PArt # 5312258A. It sometimes halts, and stops sending out heat into the house, even though the Controller shows it as being on. I then need to reset the unit by turning off the power, and turning it back on. The error codes it gives are 08, and 15. Does anyone know what this means? Thanks

SOURCE: my vulcan ducted heating unit

Two things have to occur here:

1) The ignitor has to light off the gas. A bad ignitor, or dusty burners can prevent ignition.

2) The thermocouple has to be in the flow of burning gas to prevent a safety shut-down, and has to be working.

And the obvious: you need pressure in the gas line, and the gas valve needs to be open.

Hope this helps you locate the problem!

The heating coil itself have some problem that's why the circuit breaker clicks off by sensing over current drop. Check the heating coil and replace it.

Bonaire Vulcan ducted heating system flashes F08 and HC 01. What do I do?

I was able to fix my Pyrox ducted gas heater (flashing between HC01 and F08 by pressing the reset button on the main PCB located in the main heating unit.
The reset button is located next to a set of indicator led's. It's easy to get to by just removing the covering shroud.

I just went into the Bonaire website and downloaded their FAQ on gas ducted heating from their support link. Their instructions are pretty easy to understand.
