Wireless vs USB connection

I was using photosmart C6180 as wireless device to access it from MAC notebook w/Tiger and Leopard. At this moment we temporary don't have the Internet and I connected C6180 via USB. Now I can't print or scan anything. No error message. Any advice?

Thanks,
Mary

This is a known issue and Hp has released a patch.

I think the patch file is 10862.exe. But downloading the newest version of the driver from HP's site may now fix it now too.

Here is the link for the HP driver site.

My HP photosmart C6180 will not print it is wirelss and seems to have a mind of its own - it was printing just fine and does show it is on line

HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer is not printing when you are using it wirelessly. It can only happen if there is a corruption in the wireless settings of the printer. Need to reconfigure the wireless settings of the printer. If the printer is still in warranty then call 1-800-474-6836.

A recent mac laptop with Tiger & bootcamp/win XP will connect to the internet via a Netgear DG834G adsl modem with ethernet cable in tiger & XP but only in xp with wireless. Any advice? JL

If I understand you correctly you have an Intel based MAC, with the boot-camp boot manager, so you can choose to boot either from the native MAC OS or from Windows XP.

The system works fine from the MAC OS, but the (wired) ethernet does not work from XP.

1) When you boot into XP mode, the XP operating system is in
charge and the MAC OS is dormant.

2) Check the XP device manager to see if the ethernet NIC
(network device) is properly installed and if the device
drivers are functioning.

From Windows XP:

Right click My Computer ==> Properties => Hardware ==>
==> Device Manager ==> Network Adapters =>
==> Your network controller

Right click on your network controller ==> properties

Check the device status !!!

2) If the device is NOT working properly, you may need to
download and install a device driver for this card.

3) If the device IS working properly, you may need to run
the NETWORK SETUP WIZARD from the control panel:

START ==> Control Panel ==> Network Setup Wizard ==>
==> Next.

4) Assuming you are connecting to DSL with a login password,
use the: "My computer connect to the internet through a
modem" option.

If your DSL is always on, or if you use a local router to
connect to the DSL modem (the router does the work)

Then you choose the: "My computer connects to the
internet through another computer or a residential gateway"
option.

Scanner won't operate on HP PSC1410 All in one with Leopard

Hi, as per HP's support page on this product here

It seems that there aren't any drivers compatible with Leopard for this printer at the moment. The latest OS supported is Mac OS X Tiger... You will have to wait untill HP do something for leopard...
