Hi,

Please make sure that the battery which you're using in the Camera is compatible. The compatible battery pack and the supplied one is NPBK1. If you're using the supplied battery, then make sure that the terminals of the battery are clean. You can use a soft dry cloth to clean the terminals of the battery.
A normal heat will generate in the Camera while operating which is a normal operation. If the heat is high, then I suggest you to get in touch with a Sony Authorized Service center to resolve the issue.

Thanks for using FixYa!

My 2006 lio tv makes a whirring noise and won't turn on

The cooling fan is dirty or defective. Components will overheat and the TV won't turn on. Fix it and then hold down the power switch for 10 secs. while it unplugged. Clean the inside of the TV with a small vacuum. Use a very soft brush to loosen dirt the vacuum won't pick up.

SYSTEM POWER GETTING ON AND GET OFF BETWEEN 5-10 SEC

Generally, this is caused by one of three things:
  1. cpu overheat (check the CPU and see if the fan is properly mounted to it.). If the system detects a masive overheat, it will shut down in order to prevent damage to electronic components (and in some case, fire).
  2. bad CPU or motherboard short/overheat
  3. the Power Supply is bad.
Generally, in most of my cases with customers in real life- it's one of the three. Unfortunately, unless you have the skillset and some spare parts laying around to troubleshoot this sort of thing- I would suggest possibly bringing it in to a computer repair store for diagnosis.

My viewsonic projector shows overheat after it's start. then go to sleep after 10 sec.

Are the air filters clean? It may have a faulty temperature sensor or indeed the temperature sensor may be disconnected.

PUT A NEW CAM SENSOR IN IT ENGINE CODE CALLED FOR IT AND STILL DOES THE EXACT PROBLEM RUNS FOR A ABOUT 10 SEC AND STALLS 20001 MIT GALLANT

Check the crankshaft sensor, that may be your problem, if you would list the code you got i could help some more, just because you got a cam code doesnt mean the cam sensor is bad, check the wiring also from the sensor.

HOW DO i reset my camera when I get a "lens error" message?

If the camera is under guarantee take it back,
the lens error is that the lens isnt locking properly, to do this (and this is going to sound nuts) you must take the battery out wait 2-3 minutes then whack the camera (side) on a hard surface like a solid wood desk( not too hard), this will help unblock the lens to close/open correctly),
this is a fault with this particular model and its going to continue happening to you,

When camera turns on, i see white screen with crack

the crack that you see is an internal crack. this may solve your problem. turn camera off, take out battery and memory card then after 10 secs replace battery with a fully charged one. do not insert memory card. turn cam on and check if you still have the internal crack, if it is not resolved, send cam in for repair
