On my kindle account I have an e mail address of Margaret.james15_74@kindle.com know how I got it but would prefer to have just one which I use of margaret.james15@live .com can I do this


Follow these steps to set up an e-mail account the first time you use the app:
1 Tap Apps.

The Apps library appears.

2 Tap Email.

The Email app opens and displays a Start button the first time you open the app.

3 Tap the Start button.

A list of account types appears.

4 Tap Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, or Other.

The dialog box appears.


5 Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields, and then tap Next.

A new screen appears, displaying two fields.

6 Enter the name that will appear on outgoing messages in the Display Name field and a name in the Account Name field to identify the account for yourself.

The Account Name is optional.

7 Tap the Send Mail from This Account by Default check box.

Of course, this only applies if you want to set this up as your default e-mail account.


8 Tap the View your Inbox button to go to the inbox for the account you just set up.

You can set up as many e-mail accounts as you like. When you open the Kindle Fire Email app, you see a Unified Inbox that combines messages from all accounts you set up, as well as individual inboxes for each account.

Also To delete the account in the Email app, tap the Menu button in the Options bar and then tap Accounts. Press and hold your finger on an account; from the menu that appears, tap Remove Account.

Combine Multiple Gmail Accounts
You can combine multiple Gmail accounts into a single, primary Gmail account by using the POP3 Mail Fetcher application built into Gmail.
The Mail Fetcher enables you to retrieve email from POP3 email accounts, including Gmail, and send mail as if from a different email address all from within your primary Gmail account. Configure your primary account to manage your other Gmail accounts with the Mail Fetcher.

Sign in to the Gmail account that you want to use to manage your Gmail accounts.
Click the "Settings" icon, represented by a gear cog, in the top left and click "Mail Settings."

Click the "Accounts and Import" tab.
Click the "Add POP3 Email Account" button.
Enter the email address of your secondary email account and then click "Next Step."
Enter the password of your secondary email account and then click "Add Account."
Click the radio button beside "Yes, I want to be able to send email as
[SECONDARY EMAIL ADDRESS]" and then click "Next Step."
Enter the display name for your secondary email address and then click "Next Step."
Click "Send Verification" and then check your secondary email account.
Click the link contained in the verification email to confirm the integration of that account with your primary Gmail account.
All mail sent to your secondary Gmail is now delivered to your primary account, and when responding your secondary Gmail address is displayed in the From section of the email.

Windows Live Mail is the desktop email application of Office Live, introduced with Windows 7. Windows Live Mail replaces Outlook Express in Windows XP and Windows Mail in Windows Vista. You can use Windows Live Mail to access most free email accounts, such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail, as well as those offered by Internet service providers. You can also set up your IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) account to use Windows Live Mail.

Open the Office Live email application. Click "Start," select "Programs" or "All Programs" and select "Windows Live Mail" from the "Windows Live Folder." Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts" to open the "Accounts" dialog box. If you do not see thetoolbar, press the "Alt" key to display it. Click the "Add" button, select "Email Account" and click "Next." Type in the complete IMAP email address, such as "name@emailprovider.com" into the "Email Address." Enter the password for that account in the "Password" box. Enter the name you want displayed to email recipients in the "Display Name" box. Select the "Manually Configure Server Settings for Email" check box and click "Next." Select "IMAP" in the "My Incoming Mail Server Is" list. Anyone can have an email address!

These days, email is a mandatory part of communication.

It's a cheap and easy way to send a message to anyone you know.


Decide what email provider you wish to use for your email service.

If you need a personal account for basic email activity, any of the major website email services can provide you with a package that will fit your needs.


The major free email providers are Google, Yahoo, and MSN Hotmail. For this article's purposes, we will be using Google's Gmail email service.


In your website's address bar, type www.google.com, and hit "enter."

In the top left-hand corner of the page, you will see the words "web", "images", "maps", "news", "shopping", "Gmail", and "more". Click on the word "Gmail."


You will be taken to the Google Mail access page. Since you do not have a Gmail account, you will click on the phrase "Sign up for Gmail" that is located on the lower right-hand side of the page.


Enter your first and last name in the boxes, then create your "desired login name."

This is the name that will be at the first of your email address.


For example, if your name is "Jane Doe" and you want your email address to reflect your name, you would put "JaneDoe" together in the desired log-in box.


Click on the "check availability!" button, to see if anyone else has already claimed your log-in name. If the name isn't available, Google will give you a list of available options that are similar to your requested login name.


If you do not agree with any of the recommended log-in names, then be creative by adding your birthday or another set of numbers that is memorable to you.


For example, "JaneDoe" may not be available, but "JaneDoe1966" might be up for grabs. Take your time with this step and develop a log-in name that is comfortable and important to you.


Create an email account password. Google requires your passwords to be a minimum of 8 characters in length.

You can create a password using letters, numbers, or symbols combined.


Passwords are tricky because you don't want to create one that you will forget, but you don't want to have a password that is too easy for others to guess.


Do your best to create a "strong" password that will withstand the attempts of potential hackers. A good password that could be virtually "unguessable" by others would be the combination of your grandmother's maiden name and her birth month and year.


For example, if your grandmother's maiden name is "Curtis" and her birthday is November 24th, your password could be "curtis1124." Note: if you capitalize any of your password's letters, then you must capitalize it every time you enter it.


Create a "security question."

This question might help you out later on, if you've forgotten your password and need help getting new one.


Choose a question from the selected questions and plug in your answer.

You should write down your question and answer so that you can remember it if need be.

The next step is to enter a secondary email address, but if you do not have another email you can leave this spot blank.


It is required to email your alternate address in the event you forget your password to this address.


Enter the "word verification" into the box.

The letters, numbers or symbols might appear a bit distorted, so be careful to decipher then correctly before you type them into the box.


This step is done for security and ensures that you are not a spammer.


Read through the "terms of service" to make sure you are clear on your accounts requirements.

If you agree with the terms, click the button "I accept.

Create my account" button.

Congratulations! You now have an email address!

I cannot access my mail


Ymail is part of Yahoo Mail. In order to provide users with more combinations for email addresses, Yahoo introduced another email extension called Ymail. Ymail accounts look like samplemail@ymail.com. Ymail allows users whose desired email address was already taken to create their desired address and still have all the same features as Yahoo Mail. Accessing a Ymail account is quick and easy and can be done from any web browser.


1. Create a Ymail account, if you don't already have one. Open a browser window and type "http://mail.yahoo.com" and click "Sign Up" under "Don't Have a Yahoo ID?" section.
Fill in the appropriate information in each blank in section 1. This section is for your name, gender, birthday and location.
In section 2, choose a Yahoo ID/email address. In the drop down box beside the email address text box, choose "ymail.com." Press "Check" to see if the email address is available. If it's not available for use, choose another address, but keep the "ymail.com" domain the same.
Choose two security questions in section 3. This are necessary in case you forget your password. The alternate email address is optional.
Type in the security code at the bottom of the screen and press "Create My Account."

2. Open a browser window and type "http://mail.yahoo.com" to access the Ymail login screen.

3.Type your full email address in the "YahooID" box. Be sure to include the "@ymail.com" or the address will not be recognized. Using the full address distinguishes Ymail accounts from Yahoo or Rocketmail accounts.

4. Type your password in the "Password" box. Your password is case sensitive. Press "I Can't Access My Account" if you've forgotten your password. You can either have the password sent to another email address or change it altogether after answering the security questions you set up during the account creation process.

5. Press "Sign In" to access the Ymail account.

When I tried to send email from Outlook, the Internet Service Provider replied -ERR [AUTH] invalid user/password. How can I correct this error?? My ISP is att.net. I have not found a solution on that...


This means that your user/password combination is wrong for that email server. So double check that you have the right password and user name entered for that account in Outlook. If you're 100% sure you have it right, then you might be using the wrong email/authentication server. I need help setting up my email on my iphone


1) If this is the first email account you're setting up on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen, tap Settings.
2) On the Settings screen, tap Mail.

Host Name Enter pop.secureserver.net. User Name Enter your full email address as your user name. Password Enter your password for your email account. 7) Enter your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) information.
Host Name Enter smtpout.secureserver.net. If you need to change your port, use one of the following for your outgoing mail server, depending on the port you want to use:

smtpout.secureserver.net:25
smtpout.secureserver.net:80
smtpout.secureserver.net:3535

User Name Enter your full email address as your user name. Password Enter your password for your email account. Note: The user name and password for your outgoing server is the same as the user name and password your entered for the incoming server.
8) If SSL mode is enabled, under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), tap Advanced.
9) Set Incoming Uses SSL and Outgoing Uses SSL to OFF.
