Question about Sunfire True Sub Signature Subwoofer
Probably bad caps. Electrolytic caps only good for about 10 yrs. After that, they eventually dry up and cause a many bad problems. Recapping them would take some time with the a soldering iron and a bit of electronic knowledge. Parts can be purchased from DigiKey or Mouser.

The humming could be a couple things.. First try a different outlet in a different room..Make sure the RCA is firmly in place if using LFE and none of the speaker wires strands are touching if using Hi-Lvl input. Also if using Hi-Lvl you might be getting feed back from the Amp.
