The model number does not cross reference to anything. Can you look in side of the fridge or freezer compartment and there should be a tag that give you a model # on it and repost.

SOURCE: Top mount fridge stopped refrigerating, maybe compressor?

It could be a bad compressor or the Start Relay that is bad, an easy way tell if the compressor is bad or not. If the compressor is hot to the touch it's probably the Start relay is bad, but with the Fridgeidare they have had some compressor issues. Good luck

I have a whirlpool refrigerator model w8txewfyq02 the freezer isnt freezing and im hearing a clicking noise

The clicking sound is coming from the overload mounted under the cover mounted on the side of the compressor. You most likely have a defective start relay and it is not allowing the compressor to start. When compressor will not start the overload clicks off to stop power from going to the compressor to protect the compressor from burnout. Defective relays are caused by defective run capacitor, wear, age or a defective condenser or evaporator fan motor. Here are the parts should you choose to repair this yourself=> W10197428 Start Relay and Overload and a 2169373 Run Capacitor You should also be on the lookout for a defective fan motor to prevent damage again to the start relay should it have been cause by a defective fan motor. Compessor is not kicking on. The freezer began thawing and water dripping out the door. Is there a reset button on the compressor

No reset on compressor. Try controller first, and check all else working e.g. fans lights etc. if power to compressor and not running, time for a new compressor

It doesn't cool, and in freezer side its collecting water, and also water dripping in the refrigirator .

If this is happening while compressor is running normally , first check temperature of condenser coils (black tubing)while running. If hot to touch, compressor is ok.(Good news)If not hot ,it's shot,or your defrost heater stuck on.(not likely)

If compessor not coming on at all it could be a control problem.eg thermostat ,or stuck defrost timer.

If compessor wants to come on or you hear clicking ,suspect start relay or start capacitor.

hope this helps

I have an amana 90 home air conditioner w/ a amana prestige compressor. compessor runs but cooling fan not turning ,fan is not locked up and unit has power .of course w/fan not turning home is not...

Could be a couple of reasons for this:
1. Condensor fan motor bad.
2. Condensor fan motor loss of power.
3. Condensor fan motor capictor bad.

Unit has control for fan for low ambient operation and unit is low on freon telling fan its cold out side and dont run.
Hope this helps. wally

My compressor is working but my moter having loaded & burn i change another motor the same problem is happening. please guide me. thanks

The motor will run hot/overload if wrong size or too long cord is used. Also if pressure is set too high (most set at 125 ~ 135 at shut-off). In-tank checkvalve will also have effect on motor by loading the compressor at start-up. Easy test. Run compessor till you have over 100lbs in tank then unplug from power. At this point try to turn the motor /pump by hand, it should turn rather/very easily (this test is hard to do if the motor /pump is completely enclosed, you need to be able to turn the pump even if by truning the fan blade). If it does not turn easily let all the air pressure out of tank and then try to turn by hand. If it turns easily with tank empty try one more test. Run compessor till the pressure switch turns it off. Then unplug machine and turn compessor again by hand, should be easy. If not easy then unloader / checkvalve not working. The checkvalve could be leaking air back from the tank loading the pump. Replace parts as needed.

I have a trane XR12 Heat Pump. The cooling fan on the outdoor unit does not run nor does the compressor. The fan motor heats up and hums. I am guessing that the problem is the start capacitor on the fan...

Hello Rich,NO you have a dual capasitor that runs both fan & compressor motors.Shut it down and let it cool off.You need the uf rate numbers & the volt rating of the existing cap (printed on the side)to get EXACT replacement. The wires plug in to the top termanls C, HERM &FAN.Worth fixing good luck.

Chest freezer

do you have voltage at the compressor? if not you have an open circuit or bad t-stat. if voltage is present and compressor is not running you have a bad start device or bad compessor. if voltage present and compressor runs you have a refrigeration issue get a new freezer.
