We received a LL-06 error code on our Xerox 8825 stating needs 'Fuser Oil'. I can not get to the fuser to lubricate it. Is there a secret to opening the lid?

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your copier and will help to clear error codes.

  1. Turn the power off.
  2. Locate the Clear Button, which is grey in color, in the upper right corner above the green Start Button.
  3. Locate the Auto Button the lower left corner of the Control Panel.
  4. Turn the power back on.
  5. Press the buttons in the following sequence, releasing each button after each time you press it: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto]. Every light on the Control Panel should go out, and the error code should clear.
  6. If the error code has not cleared, wait a few seconds then repeat Steps 1 through 5.
  7. Program the copier as if you were going to make 14 copies.
  8. Press the green [Start] button to store the reset code. The copier will return to the ready position.
  9. Run a test copy.

Xerox 8850 error code LL-12

I expect you have this fixed by now.
Look closely in the fuser area, perhaps you might see the problem.
Are both fuser rods working correctly one rod has the coils in the middle and the other has them either side so as to even out the fuser temperature. You might need a meter to answer this.
This would need Xerox engineer callout.
Good Luck

XEROX 8825 CODE LL-90

The error states that the 8825 is over-toned, too dark. The toner dispense and developing systems what the error is pointing to. Make sure your machine is on level floor.
First, Make sure the toner cartridge isn't damaged. Check for a toner. If the cartridge isn't spilling but there is a toner mess around the developer, then your developer may be old, and losing magnetism.
Second, clean the Pressure Equalizing tubes with a vaccuum cleaner, plus the Augers and Magnetic Roll.
You can also check that the sensor wires are connected and that there is not any gear damage, or incorrectly installed parts.
You may need to buy a Developer 005R00310, Main Board 160K75321, or Low Volt Power Supply 105K15863. You might be able to add the developer your self, but everything on this unit is expensive, so you may be better off getting an experienced technician to do the repair.

I have a Xerox Workcenter M20i.

You need to replace the fuser. There is a heating coil in the fuser roller that opens. Replace the fuser and it will resolve the problem.

Somehow you jarred the fuser. Turn the machine off and reseat the fuser. Open the left side door, there will be 2 thumb screws.
Remove and reseat the fuser, if that doesnt work you have to replace the fuser.
