This happens when you let the "maintenance req. 0040" go for to long. The machine turns itself of to prevent damage.
Solution: Call epson and they will give you the reset code. Cannot find these codes online so if you do call please post instructions

this error 0001002D means Cleaning Unit end of life
The only fix for this problem is you have to call Epson and state them
that you are facing this problem. They will provide you the codes to
unlock this error. Its a universal solution that only Epson can provide
you these unlock codes and you cant find in any websites.So contact them
and get your problem fixed soon.
