Just replaced the belt & it spins until I put clothes in it?

It sounds like you didn't get the belt tight enough to handle the load of wet clothes. Suggest you use something to put more pressure on the belt while tightening the motor bolts. Although there is a recommended torque for the belt, most technicians don't measure when they replace a belt.

Hi,
It sounds like you belt is the problem, if it is glazed or stretched this will happen. The part number is 21352320, below is a link if you wish to order one.
It is located under the unit and goes around all three pulley's. Inspect the motor pulley closely, if melted or damaged you may need to replace that also.
Belt www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Belt-Drive/21352320/1318
Motor pulley The pulley is available but when I looked it up it changes to a complete motor, part number for just the pulley is 21001506

Good Luck

Dryer wont tumble when loaded.

check for a "glazed" drum belt or a broken "idler" pulley near or on the motor that keeps the belt tight on the drum

I have a Maytag dryer model lde7334ace that squeks very loud when it is turning

There are a few common issues most common would be bad bearings on your rear rollers which are part number 12001541 if you remove the drum and spin the rollers and they make noise then this is your issue. You could be also looking at a bad blower wheel or idler pulley. To remove the front panel there will be tabs about 1 and a half inch in on each side of the lid and two 5/16 nuts holding the front panel on. Then you will have 4 5/16 nuts holding the front housing on. Once removing them you have to remove the belt (which is a pain to put back on if you have never done it before the ribs go up on the drum) then you can remove the drum and check all the bearings and rollers.

If the blower wheel is bad it will be worn down in the center and spinning freely on the the motor shaft i believe its part number y303836 now on most maytags.

Whatever you do be sure to lubricate all rollers and bearings when you have the dryer opened and clean the blower housing of lint.

hope this helps _MJ_

My washer has been difficult to maintain balance when spin cycle is running for about a month. Also, the dryer has not been spining the clothes as dry as it usually did. Tonight, I put a load in and the...

You did not say what model washer you have. Top Load, Front Load and Model Number... That is very important.

As for the dryer..... If the washer is not getting a decent amount of water out of the clothes then the dryer could be becoming damaged continuing to use it. A dryer simply evaporates the water on tumbled clothes in it. It is is set on a TIME DRY setting, I doubt it will work at all. If it is set on AUTO DRY then, it could be running and running and destroying your dryer. You also may have a heating element that is weak or intermitently going on and off.

It is important to know how old, the brand, the model numbers of everything. Also if it is a Gas Dryer or Electric.

Sorry for the extra questions, but it is neccessary.

Kindly,

Jim

Fisher and paykel clothes dryer wont turn with clothes in it.

Hi
Most dryers work with a belt around the drum. Either the belt is stretched and needs replacement or there may be a belt tensioner which needs adjustment to tighten the belt.
What is happening in your case is that the belt is slipping on the drum as it is too loose.
Best wishes,

Dryer belt broke on my dryer.

I use a putty knife to press against the spring clips to pop the top. Then I use a quarter inch nutdriver to remove the screws holding the front panel on. I remove the wires from the door switch and lift out the front panel. I remove the drum and put the dryer on a work bench or a tailgate. I inspect the blower wheel(most of the time they get loose). I get the ball of lint out of the front panel filter housing. I vacuum out the dryer with my shopvac. I oil the rollers and idler and inspect the drum slides for wear. I loop a new belt rib side down to the drum and set it back in the dryer. With my left hand I drop the belt under the motor pulley and raise up the idler looping the belt on it and let the tension hold the idler. I manually slowly turn the drum to make sure the belt is secure and not twisted. I place the front back on. Snap the top down and give her a try. Piece of cake.
