On the fan motor there should be:
HP
RPM
Voltage
once you have that then the cheapest is eBay:

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=air+conditioner+fan+motor&_frs=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359

Bakers will have it:

Do you bypass the run capacitator on a lakewood model hv-18 fan with a 2.4 motor

More than likely it's not the start capacitor why your fan will not run this more than likely it's not the start capacitor why your fan will not run this lubrication try turning the fan motor by hand if it does not turn freely it's lubrication I have answered this another post.

more than likely it is lubrication spray WD-40 into the oil holes after you have unplugged the fan of course Keep turning the fan and you'll notice will start turning more freely apply more oil to the rear of the motor as this is an oil bushing you're putting more oil into

hope this solves your problem

Can i get just the motor?

Here is customer service for Lakewood

Sometimes a replacement motor is more expensive than a whole new fan. I know, it seems a shame to throw out a whole fan because a motor is more expensive.

All of the sudden my fan stopped working completely. It does have a lot of dust in it. It is 12 inches and says Model HV-9 C. I tried to plug it in several different plugs, still doesn't work.

take front off of fan. then blow the motor out good to get rid of dirt and dust. also when apart oil the front and back of armature, to make it run better.

Are replacement motors available for these fans? Lakewood HV 18 Lakewood HV 21 Lakewood HV 21T

mcdevito75 here, If the fan is not too old I would figure yes, but a replacement motor will cost as a new fan, if not more, then you have to install and the blades are a presss fit to the motor.

Does the lakewood fan have a fuse that can be replaced?

No, it is either the speed control, capacitor or motor. You can get parts, if it worth your time, try nelsonappliance.com and part # LW007JRMOTOR

Need help with fixing my lakewood floor fan.

try cleaning it and put oil especially at the base of the shaft.then try wiggling the shaft for bushing tolerance.if you feel the shaft wiggles to wide, then you'll need to replace the bushing and the shaft.but before anything else check the thermal fuse.it is found on the motor itself or try to borrow a tester with resistance measurement to check for continuity of the winding by connecting the probes with the plug, one each terminal.then turn the fan on.the pointer should move if its ok, unless burn out.if not.then the thermal fuse blow-out.

Need help troublshooting floor fan problem

This problem is caused by worn brushes, these are probably not replacable. You could replace the motor but you will have more money tied up in that then replacing the fan.
