Welcome To FixYa.

Blur warning ussually appears in Suppressed flash mode. In this mode the flash does not fire even when the subjects is poorly lit. Blur warning will appear in the monitor at slow shutter speeds to warn that pictures may be blurred. Use of a tripod is recommended.

To view or hide other indicators on the screen/monitor you just have to click the DISP/BACK button.

I hope this information will help you on your issues regarding your camera.

Yellow Camera in LCD Screen with a ! sign. What does this mean?

The camera is warning you that the shutter speed may be too slow for you to handhold the camera steady enough to prevent camera motion from blurring your photo.
For full details refer to the "Warning Messages and Displays" section of the manual (page 113 in my copy). If you need a manual you may download a copy here.

Hi, the photos i take are getting blurred and the image is not at all clear no matter how shot the distance may be i click the image.the only new icon i see on the screen is vibration warning symbol along...

If you are shooting in Auto mode with flash, this should solve your problem. Make sure you are not dictating any of the settings, i.e. choosing a longer shutter speed, a very small aperture setting, or a very low ISO (sensitivity) setting.

Typically the vibration warning icon will appear when the camera is trying to use a long shutter speed without flash in order to get the right exposure for a darker scene. Your outdoor (bright light) photos are probably OK.

In dim light with a point and shoot camera, you can have your choice between 1. blurry (using a relatively slow shutter speed), 2. dark (using a shorter shutter speed but no flash), or 3. a good photo with flash (which uses a medium shutter speed and added light from the flash)

E have a Nikon Coolpix

I went to the menu and selected restore factory defaults. This seemed to fix the problem. I have since added the date to dislay on the photo and the camera is still OK- no more blurry shots.

A blinking red and white hand in the upper right portion of the screen

Camera shake (blur) warning.

You might have the camera set to an inappropriate 'scene' mode. If you are using 'landscape' or 'snow' for an indoor or night shot for example, the camera will select a slow shutter speed which will increase the chance of blur - hence the warning.

If you keep the selector switch all the way to the left (auto mode) you should be fine in most situations. Only use the 'scene' modes for specific purposes.

Blur warning

This may be caused by a shift from camera mode to scene mode when taking a close-up shot.
