Question about Brother ES2000 Computerized Sewing Machine

Open Question

I have the Brother ES-2000 computerized sewing machine, in which I never used. I go to wind the bobbin as per instructions, and on the 1st bobbin I tried to wind, it only wound 1/4 of the way and stalled, and got loud. I removed the bobbin, and put a second one on the bobbin winder shaft, and proceeded to complete the process. I went through all of the correct steps, and this time, it is very loud, and not winding or even spinning at all. It is only making a loud winding noise. The bobbin is not even spinning!

SOURCE: Bobbin winder is only thing that works

What model are you talking about? For my older Husqvarna machine you had to pull the bobbin winding bit out to wind the bobbin, then push it back in when you were done.

SOURCE: Janome sewing machine bobbin winder

I had that problem the first time I tried to wind a bobbin. What a mess. The next time I let the thread run through my finger and thumb before reaching the bobbin. I had to do the same on a previous Kenmore.

I've also found that the heavier Bernina bobbins don't 'jump' around.

Checking to see if in fact that the bobbin shaft is turning. Run it without any bobbin on the bobbin shaft. Make sure that it is push over in the correct position and run it. I checked on mine and it does make the whirring sound and the the shaft does spin. Also check underneath the shaft to see if there is any thread wrapped around it. ( I had problems with that in the past). I hope this helps,

SOURCE: Bobbin winding message

Under the top cover, on the right hand side where the bobbin winder is, there is a small switch which is activated when the bobbin is being wound. You will need to remove the cover and reposition the switch (it's located towards the front of the machine) to make it work properly.

SOURCE: Bobbin winder shaft won't spin. LCD says bobbin winding.

I had the same problem. The trick is to make sure that when you put the bobbin on the winder that the notch on the bobbin clicks on the notch holder. So turn the bobbin on the winder until you hear a click or that the bobbin can not be turned. To check if the bobbin is on the holder correctly start the bobbin winder without thread. If the bobbin is engaged on the winder it will spin, if not then it is not set on the notch. I hope this helps.

The motor locked up because the thread is tangled. Remove the tangled thread before continuing the operation.Clean the bobbin case to remove the tangled thread. After cleaning the bobbin case, insert the bobbin case properly. If the needle is bent or broken, replace the needle. Then, thread the upper thread properly, and continue the operation.

Need to source a replacement Bobbin Cover for Brother sewing machine ES 2000

call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 or go to their website and email them. There are also online companies, like www.sew4less.com and they sell them for about $9.00. You just have to google and you will find all kinds of them.

What does error E1 mean on a brother CS6000i

hello, the E1 code simply means the machine is working so hard, you can follow the information below to help you fix the problem,

The instructions for bobbin winding tell you to click the start button for the bobbin to wind. When you do that you get that E1 with a beeping. What they don't explain is that in order to press that "UP" arrow button to get the bobbin to wind..........you need to UNPLUG the foot control. So, in other words it to be used for sewing w/o a foot pedal. Now instead of doing as per instructions, assuming you've plugged everything in (foot pedal), after winding is finished just press the foot pedal and your off and running or sewing as the case may be. BTW, look it up in the TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION OF YOUR MANUAL.
please kindly rate the solution if it;s helpful,

take care.

You can either take the machine in for repairs or, use another sewing machine (if you have one that uses the same type of bobbin) for bobbin winding or purchase a Sidewinder Bobbin Winder - search the Internet for the best price.

Tension problem on Brother ES 2000

I have a Brother CE 4000 Computer sewing machine. I had the same problem when I first used it. I worked with it several hours but to no avail so I decided to stop and wait until my head clear..

I went back a couple of days later. Reread the manual and started over. I discovered my problem was that I was threading the bobbin wrong. Once I threaded it precisely as the manual stated it worked fine.

So this might be your problem. Make sure that the thread on the bobbin is wind on properly. It should be wound evenly. The bobbin must be threaded precisely as the manual says.
Try rethreading the bobbin and the machine
and see if that help.

BOBBIN WINDER NOT WORKING RIGHT

Try to lift the guide before the bobbin winder, by 2-3 millimeters.
If you can't lift the guide, then put something between the two, (a magnet perhaps) just to lift the thread a little bit upwards during winding.
