Hello there....well its quite simple...there is nothing wrong with your phone ...its your SIM... if it is asking for a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your subscriber and ask them for PUK code, entering this code will reset your sim

If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim, this can be free but it depends on the company and how 'customer friendly they are

Hope this help
Cheers

    hi

can you tell me the phone model number i mean...like nokia 6600 or sony w 850......

and have you actually tried using different sims in it before this issue cropped up ? because at time it is said it is unlocked ...but it is actually not activated....

    procedure for unlocking is...

you need to call the customer care of your original network provider ....just keep the model number of your phone number handy (you will find that on the box in which you got the phone)...or the IMEI number (15 digits mostly) by dialing *#06# on your phone or beneath the battery or on the box near bar code....this is a paid service and charges differ from network to network

you will be able to use any sim in your phone of any service around the world

    see you

    hi...

1)try to use the sim that is not working in a different phone ....i think it will not work in a different phone as well ...as i think the sim is blocked ....(it asks for PUK code )....call the Customer service of this sim to un block the sim

2)if the sim works fine in a different phone ....the call O2 update your IMEI number with them(procedure to get IMEI above)...and they can give you the phone security code as well or make ask you to reset your phone to factory settings(you will lose data stored in the phone in this case )

talk to LG if O2 cannot solve it ....

reset will be the last option (save your number ,photos, and data before you go for reset

    good luck

Your cell phone may be locked to a particular cell phoneprovider and in this case it needs to be unlocked to use with a different cellphone service provider. PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN numberto unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered afterthe 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require anew SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.If you do not have this then -Please contact your phone service provider.
Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give themyour account details and they have confirmed your identity.

My son locked his phone and I need to unlock it

Most likely your son has put a pin code on his phone. This code is stored in the SIM card and when you power up the phone it asks for a pin code before you can operate the phone.
In some cases when you enter the wrong pin code too many times the SIM card will lock up. You need to contact the phone service provider for assistance to unlock/remove the pin code.

Type the following code #*7337#.

If this does not work you need to reset as follows.

1-Turn on the phone without sim card .
2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset)
3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu .
4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000#
