That would depend the brand and model of the shock. I don't know the answer but I know Raleigh didn't make the shock.

Depends on the shock. different years came with different model shocks. Most of these were not designed to be user serviceable so most likely will not take any oil. Some of the shocks didn't use nay oil but rubber elastomers. This best taken into a bike shop and have them inspect it too see if it is even serviceable. If you don't know how to take apart a shock and reassemble it is not a good project to undertake. You need special tools, special oils, and replacement parts that will cost you far more than the shop will charge to overhaul the fork, plus they know what they are doing. Suspension is complicated and if not done correctly will fail and could most likely cause you too crash.

We don't supply parts. Advice. Take the wheel to a bicycle shop for an assessment as the parts are not universal among the different hub makers.

2008 rear shock won't dial in to a firm ride as it use to. It only goes up and down freely with weight and not just at impact. what needs to be done?

I would highly suggest you take the bike and shock into your local bike shop to have the diagnosis the problem. Other than suggesting checking the air pressure if your shock has an air valve, there are far too many potential problems to go through in this format.

From your description it sounds like a shock with no air pressure, but...

Hi I have a problem, I've just recently bought a new mountain bike from eBay. It's a mongoose, can you tell me how to tighten the suspension, so it's for road use not cross country. I deflated the air...

Since you've let the air out of the shock you need to go to a Bike Shop for a refill anyway because a normal pump doesn't reach the pressures supplied by a shock pump. While you're there, have them set the bike up for your preferences and instruct you in shock operation.

They just might be, depending on the brand and pedigree of the crankset. Lower-end bikes usually have rivetted, stamped or even single-piece cranksets, so they're not designed to be replaced individually.

Rear axle broken on Raleigh road bike, can i/ how do i replace it

Is it the axle in the hub or a skewer (quick release) that is broken? If it is the skewer, those can be replaced. If it is the hub (with a through-axle), then you would do best to buy a new wheel.

They ought to. Bicycle components are quite universal. You may run into a part or two which won't fit (front derailleurs have to fit frame design [especially on full-suspension bikes] as well as tube diameter), and you must bear in mind that the geometry of the new frame will most assuredly be different, so your handlebars and stem may no longer be familiar or comfortable to you. Good luck!
