Hey, I recently formatted my acer Aspire 4720z(including the RECOVERY partition). Now i try to install a new OS, it doesn't load, it gets to a point and it gives me an error message with code: 0x8007045D. Pls, i want someone to help me on how i can get to successfully install my desired Windows 7. *I did a clean format of both partitions, so nothing is left. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart in the installation. Error code: 0x8007045D

You are receiving this error because Setup is unable to validate the Windows image file; it believes it to be corrupt. There are a number of things that can cause this but most often it's due to bad media. Assuming that this ISO you downloaded has a valid CRC check, you should try to :

  • reburn media at a very slow rate
  • use the best media that you can find
  • avoid ISO mounting utilities that mount the image as a removable drive
If you download the Windows 7 Operating System I suggest re-downloading it from microsoft and try again.

If you have questions please let me know. Thanks for using Fixya

Have you tried to use the CD installer on other machines and see if you will have the same error. So that we can check if this is a problem with the CDROm of your acer machine

it's possible that the physical device (DVD) is causing the error. We have seen this failure in the past although a bad burn is more common.

As you can see from the figure, recovery partition can be seen in the Disk Management but it can't be accessed. unless you give or assign a lettter to that partition using Diskpart and run as an admin. you have to clone the original hard drive from your Laptop to have a recovery menu. you can create your own recovery.

I cant start may laptop after formatting c-drive

If you took the hdd out and format it ..it will need to reinstall the operation system ..If you tried to install the operation system ..but now it says there is no operation system ..you need to reinstall it ..Anyway ..if it starts ..but not boot to windows..Just reinstall the operation system using a boo-table cd ..with the OS ..or the recovery partition on it ..by pressing the F12 ..and choose recovery partition ..(boot from ) if it has one ..it may be damaged when you tried to format ...
Remember to format means erase and form the memory units again ..and not installing ..reinstalling is another issue ..and when you do it ..it gives you the possibility to completely format a partition ..including C in our case..so that you are sure you end up with a clean Operation system ..

Acer 5520 restore failed 0xa000000e

I got it to work by deleting all the partitions on my drive (I first loaded xp, loaded system commander 9, and used that to delete all the partitions.)

Then while booting from the recovery cd, holding down alt-f10, the recovery dialog said it was partitioning the drive. (I didn't see this before, even if I partitioned the drive like it came from the factory.)

Then the rest of the recovery worked.

Acer aspire 3680 problem (anyone help plese?)

if you haven't delete the recovery partition, you can reload the OS using alt+F10.
during boot (after acer logo), press alt+F10, it will guide you to reload your OS.
if your recovery partition is corrupt, you should call acer call center to get the cd or you can buy cd from microsoft
