Question about Mitsubishi WS-65809 65" Rear Projection Television
If you remove the rear cover you will find 3 large lens----with the set on cover the red and then the green one at a time, if the dots vanish you have a "burnt" picture tube caused by some problem in the set---it is permanent damage and not only would the picture tubes have to be replaced but whatever arced and burnt them would have to be located and repaired.
If the dots go away it is most likely not worth fixing.
