Simple. Measurements. Unless i'm missing something here.
Take present oven detailed measurement, compare it to the newer oven's detailed measurement.

How to Replace an Electric Oven Element

Replacing an oven element is quite simple that almost anyone can do it.
  1. First pull the oven away from the wall and unplug it.
  2. Next, remove the rear panel from the oven.
  3. Now disconnect the element from the wires that power it, they should pull straight off of the element.
  4. Remove any screws that might be holding the element in place, check both in the oven and on the back. It depends on the make and model where the screws may be.
  5. Last, remove the element by pulling it out through the heating chamber, and replace with the new element. Simple as that.
For replacement parts, check repairclinic.com which I recommend, otherwise local stores may have what you need or the manufacturer themselves.
Congrats, you have just learned how to replace an element.

EO F2 The oven will not start or stop. I can not get the oven to work but it will beep with this EO F2 message sometimes.

Hello Sonya,
The E0-F2 error code means that the oven temperature was higher than it's supposed to be. Usually the oven overheats because of a defective oven temperature sensor and the sensor should be checked. 11_3_2011_2_07_54_pm.jpgthis is what the sensor looks like...it is located within the oven chamber(usually in the left side) to check it,it needs to unplugged and using a mulitmeter set to measure ohms, check the sensor to be between 1060-1100 ohms at room temp. if the sensor is way lower/higher that 1060-1100 at room temp the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced, if the sensor is within that range then the control board is the problem.

Buzzing and f2 showing on display panel

Hello,

The F2 error code means that the over overheated by at least 100 degrees above the tempature that was set at the time. The usual reason the oven would over heat by so much is a defective oven tempature sensor and the sensor would need to be tested to see if is the problem to test the sensor it would need to disconnected from the wiring to it and measure the amount of ohms of resistiance AT ROOM TEMPATURE when the oven is off and cool. At room temp. the the meter used to check the sensor should display between 1060-1100 ohms,if the number is vastly different that 1060-1100 at room tempature the sensor is defiently bad and should be replaced. This is what the sensor looks like oldtech2332_129.jpg
it will be inside of the oven chamber and again to properly check it the wiring should be unplugged and the meter leads should be placed into the plug at the end of the sensor to measure the ohms

All the functions works well, but after a few minutes the oven stops and display "F2". The screen is well, the temperature selector, timer, clock, all works well but the oven stops functioning

I need to see if I can obtain a manual for the PLT059-2 GE model gas oven. We are getting F2 and F3 errors but are unable to identify what those mean and the oven will not work properly.

Hello,

The F2&F3 error code both point to a defective oven tempature sensor being bad...to check the oven sensor unplug it from the wiring harness and use a digital meter to measure the ohms rating on it...check it at room tempature and check for between 1060-1100 ohms at room temp.
If it s way higher or lower that 1100ohms the temp.sensor is indeed going to be bad.

The sensor is in teh oven baking chamber and can normally be pulled out and checked after removing from inside of the oven

F1 blowout

F1 means there is a problem with the blower motor.

1. Is air blowing into the cook chamber?
2. Do you hear rattles from the motor?
3. The 4-pin connector represent the windings in the motor, each should not measure more than 2.6 ohms. This is located back left corner on the motor controller board.
4. In front of that pin is the line voltage pin. There should be either 208 or 240 VAC across the blue and brown wires.

These are some quick troubleshooting tips....hope it helps
