Peter- I'm sure you've figured this out by now- power off the DVR for 10 seconds- (either unplug or from power rocker switch on the back) - turn it back on - you will no longer receive the "password locked" message - if you're locked out and can not recall the password and will never be able to remember- then:

    Unplug the DVR
    Take the case off
Find the BIOS battery on the system board
Remove the BIOS Battery for 10 minutes
    Replace BIOS Battery

This should set the DVR back to factory defaults-
Default username admin password admin or username 888888 password 888888
    Hope this helps-

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: "Password is incorrect" message when login to Wizard of Router

firstly, make sure that you type the word admin without any spaces before or after, and make sure it's all lower case. If that doesn't work, normally another password has been set. when you reset the router, hold in the reset 'button' with a paper clip or something else small for a FULL 30 seconds, keep the paper clip in place, power the router off for 30 seconds, then power the router on again, still holding the paperclip in place for another 30 seconds. That's 1 minute 30 seconds total (3hours in cat time) but that should force the router into a factory reset. Then go to 192.168.1.1 etc and all should be well" - hope this helps. Dave

SOURCE: Hi, I have a home

you will have to allow the devices in the router wirless or direct connectivity setup in the router it self. If the router does not have permission to connect the device they will not be allowed to connect.
log in to the router and set up each device accordingly.

My CCTV is showing hacked on the cameras. How do I reset my password

Your CCTV is connected via an Internet connection.
I'll recommend to isolate the network devices from the Internet before continuing.
This is covering only basic steps, I recommend to get the instruction manual for the CCTV and read it.
  1. Enter the administration section of the CCTV recorder/DCR/NVR by entering your admin account name and password.
  2. Go to the admin setup of the CCTV. Search for overlay and verify if the hacker inserted text on the overlay feature, if you don't use overlay, disable it.
  3. Then check each camera name tags in the admin section. Change the text if it was hacked.
  4. Change the password for the CCTV DVR/NVR/Camera, I bet it was never changed. Write the password down and store it in a safe place.
  5. Last option: If you can't find the place do a factory reset of the DVR/NVR/Camera. (Do make a backup before a factory reset to an external device if possible).
  6. Once the factory reset is done, you will have to reconfigure the recording options for each camera.
  7. Last point after the factory reset, change the admin password.
Are there other devices sharing the Internet connection with the CCTV?
If this answer is YES, then check them for hacker breach.
  1. I'll recommend to increase the security on the Internet Router.
  2. Any device sharing the Internet with the CCTV should be checked for breaches and made secure.
  3. Speak to your ISP and ask for assistance if you have a fixed IP address to your CCTV system. Ask them for advice. Layer 7 routers are more expensive but more secure.
  4. Load all updates for any devices!
Get an IT security expert to assist you with the breach if necessary.

After system boot-up, hold a right mouse click

button and there will be login window. Hold a left

mouse button to click the order of "Account", and

input correct account. Then left click the order of

"Password" and input correct password. At last

left click "Login" to enter system. There is one

factory-preset login "account/password"
"admin/111111" at admin level. The user can
use it to login the system for the first time
