Hi,

I will suggest you try reset the printer, follow the instruction below to reset your printer, if the problem still persist, replace the cable that connects the printer to the power outlet. If that did not still fix the problem, you will need to reinstall the driver of the printer, you can get it at HP web site.

1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold # and 6 keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.

If that did not fix the problem, try this,

  1. Unplug the power cable from printer while the printer is powered on.
  2. Press and hold OK and HELP buttons while plugging in the power cord. Wait for the screen to go black or blank before releasing the keys.
  3. Just turn on the printer and configure your printer new.

Cartidges wont move

the cartridge as you call it is the carriage, which houses the inks and printheads, Its supposed to be 'Locked' at the service station until such time as the printer is ready to start printing,
what you should look for is a strip of what looks like clear plastic that runs the lengh of the print surface, give this a GENTLE clean with a cloth damped with WATER, ensure there is no paper blockage along the print path the cycle thhe power allowing the machine to come to ready or fault displayed

I need solution on this Problem, HP DesignJet 500 Plus Error: Severe Error: 0x8010003, Thanks Biar R

Turn off the power ->open the cover and manually move the Cartridge carrier to the middle of slider bar that's all , it will fix your problem. Most of the time it is due to friction in the slider rod so lubricate the slider rod if necessary. If the carriage is stuck at the right hand side of the printer and cannot be moved out to the center of the print platen it is because the service station cannot uncap the print heads. in this case replace the service station/aerosol fan assembly.

Empty carriage stuck in my HP 7500A printer

Hello,Lester Makang
Your carriage got stuck in service station,is there any noise coming from the right side of printer then there will be broken gear.
Power on your printer, after you got carriage jam error open cartridge access door and wait 5 second when you see that gears trying to move, use your hand to pull your carriage to left side.Don't use much force. If your carriage got free then install your print head and cartridges. If this will happen again then take it to service center they will change the service station or broken gear but the cost goes much high.

Let me guess, it moves freely otherwise but when it needs to print it fails? Sounds like the service station is broken. Sorry

Cartridge of My HP Deskjet 3550 Won't Move?

Friend,

Either the carriage is stuck in the service station or on the opposite side of the service station - at least it's jammed somewhere. The motor starts but cannot move the carriage.

I'd suggest you'd contact your local HP support, they should be able to help you fix this problem, or take the printer in for service if irt's still under warranty.
