Question about Belkin Basic Wireless Router
Good news/bad news likely here. I don't think it's the router.
Unfortunately you aren't alone in the "my system has been messing up since April 1st" club.
There were a number of viruses that launched themselves on April 1st.
These could have been picked up months ago and laid dormant for ages until Apr. 1st, when they assembled themselves (while dormant, they lay encrypted in several pieces to avoid detection by Anti-Virus programs) and immediately disabled their detection in the most common anti-virus programs.
Get Malware Bytes free edition and Spybot Search and Destroy from these links.
If everything comes back clean, post a reply here.
I suggest downloading the software from a known working clean machine and burning it to a CD (the virus could infect the software if it's on a writeable device like a thumb drive) and installing it from the CD in safe mode on the suspect machines.
Do one machine at a time to avoid cleaning and being reinfected by a networked system.
Safe mode is entered by hitting F8 just as the system is starting to load the operating system and choosing safe mode. (personally, I repeatedly hit it because the timing is tricky!).
Hope this helps you out!

For that first press RESET button of route for 10 seconds .
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on wireless and enable it. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
