I have a RCA MP3 player and the scren will not turn on but the buttons turn on like it is charging. But i can't get my mp3 player to turn on

Sounds like the firmware had gotten corrupted. Try reflashing the firmware by downloading the installer from here:

Be sure to back up any important media you have on your device before performing the firmware reinstall.

Firmware upgrades

Installing/upgrading firmware is usally not requemented. You will not be adding any new feature to u're unit. There's no reason to do reinstall or upgrade the firmware other than to repair the unit in the event the units firmware is corrept.

Muvo v100

My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in July 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.05.01.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Creative MUVO

You could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250 to get your computer to recognize it again.

If it is also acting funny as a player, try installing the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.

Of course, you'll have to get it to talk to your computer before you can update the firmware.
