Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

I KEEP GETTING F02 ERROR CODE WHAT DIOES THIS MEAN

If you have a owners manual for your dishwasher this code should be listed in it. Also there should be a customer (800) number somewhere on the door for customer service. Good luck, best regards.

Hi, my AWM 1200 is 9yrs old but still washes and

Your machine most probably has had water in the spin bearing. The seal has worn and allowed water to rust the ball bearings which are no longer smooth...Hence the noise! A fairly major job which could also need a new shaft and inner drum. Get quotes, but be prepaired. Too much detergent can also speed up seal failure......Good luck....Nomess

F07-AWM 9000

The F07 indicates a Motor Control Unit (MCU) Error.

  1. Disconnect mains power and unplug unit.
  2. Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
  3. Check the MCU
  4. Check the Drive Motor
  5. Check the Wire Harness
  6. Reconnect power and plug unit in.
  7. Check the MCU operation by looking for movement of the drive motor, and check drive motor for fully powered rotation.
  8. Replace failed component. Note: If this failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three minutes.

Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle.
Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re select cycle and select HOLD TO START.

The washer quits at rinse and spin dry cycle

I've had the same experience with my Speed Queen washer. Approached the accredited Speed Queen agents for assistance, when tech support was deployed to diagnose the problem.
In the end, I was told that the "timer" went bust. So the wash cycle seems to work 100%, but when it comes to rinse and spin the contacts on the timer don't make contact, and the motor waits in anticipation for it's next command, and that the high pitch noise heard.

Whirlpool washer AWM 5145/5 water wont drain/stops on B

I had same problem twice, the first time there was a sock in the filter at the front adjoining the pump, the second time a sock had got in the pipe under the drum which is more awkward to get to but is possible if you have the tools to remove the back plate and are ok at diy, there is a spring tension clip on the pipe which comes off quite easily with a pair of pliers.
