SOURCE: Fridge is leaking

Your plastic line which carries water to the dispenser has a crack in it.  Activate the dispenser and have another person pinpoint the lead and splice two pieces together with plastic connector.

SOURCE: dripping water inside fridge. Can't find drain hose

at the rear of the fridge unit there is a hole, normally at the bottom of a shallow "v" shape. there should be a plastic insert in it to clear any blockages, just wiggle it a bit. failing that a pipe cleaner will do the same.

I assume its on the refrigs side? Either the water valve "blue thing" is cracked or broken or the water line hooking up to it needs an new washer and or tightening.

If this helps you please rate me as high as you can and or get back to me. Thanks for using fix ya.

SOURCE: Ice maker is leaking out the back of fridge at joint

There may indeed be blockage inside the joint/or supply line. Depending on the hardness of your water, there can be a considerable amount of calcium or other mineral deposits fouling the line. This sediment will be inside and may not be noticeable from the outside.

However, if you notice crusty deposits anywhere around where you see the leaking this is a strong indication that you may have sedimentary build-up inside.

In any case, the best long-term solution is to replace the joint and evaluate the line surrounding the joint. All the parts involved can be purchased at a local hardware store, and they are not very expensive at all. Attaching them is pretty straightforward as well.

I hope this helps.

I am wondering about the hose you shoved in and the leak stopped. Is the hose you pushed in buckled where it hooks on or is there a buckled spot where the water comes out of the fridge. Just a guess.

Water leaking from underneath. Not currently

This could be a blocked drain.Behind the fridge is a hose/pipe running from the inside of the fridge down to the compressor where the water will then evaporate. If this pipe is blocked, the water will push up back into the fridge.Try to blow the hose clean from inside the fridge. This should solve your problem.

Water leaking from fridge

If your saying water builds under the crispers in the fresh food compartment even though you have removed the plug, then the problem would be the drain hose going to the drain pan is plugged up or kinked. If the fridge is running too cold, then there is a slight chance that area of the drain has ice in it.
Mop up excess water, and pour scalding hot water into the drain hole and wait. Try that 2 or 3 times moping up each time.
If no drainage starts
you will have to go to the back of the machine and remove the back cover to trace where the hose goes into the drain pan.
Techs usually carry a can of compressed air with a hose attached to blow the drain clean. Easy does it. Not too much pressure.
If you have no access to something like that, you have the option of removing the drain hose completely, and cleaning it out in the sink, or if you have one, a tire pump with it's end jury rigged to make a good fit into the end of the drain hose will usually work
P.S. If you must remove the back cover, please replace it when done.
It is part of the ducting system and left off will cause the compressor to overheat.

All items in freezer were defrosted when I opened the door this morning. Fridge is semi cold.

Some leaking water refrigerator helps....

  1. My older style Amana freezer on top refrigerator is leaking inside
  2. My refrigerator is leaking water inside
  3. My refrigerator is leaking water onto the floor
My refrigerator is leaking water inside the fridge:

Most times this is a plugged defrost drain system. The defrost heater in the freezer section melts the frost and changes it to water, this water is suppose to flow down a drain system. If this drain system is restricted or plugged the water will leak inside the refrigerator. The drain system starts in the freezer section with a tray built under the evaporator coil. The water is funneled through a small hose into a cup in the top middle of the fresh food section ( not on all models, but this is the most common way ), from there, the water is directed out the back wall to a drain hose that runs down the back of the refrigerator into a condensing tray. The heat created under the fridge makes the water evaporate and disappear. Some of the cups ( in the top back of the fresh food section ) can be removed for cleaning. A turkey baster can be used to help clean out the drain system. Fill the baster with hot water and "blast" it into the drain hose to help flush it out. A piece of wire or pipe cleaner can also be pushed into the drain hoses to help clean then out. On a S x S style of fridge the drain system is in the bottom back of the freezer section and often you will have to remove the evaporator cover to access the drain hole. You can clean this out in the same manner as previously mentioned, but because of the water leaking into the freezer instead of the fresh food section you will have to remove the ice build up to clean out the drain system. For some reason Whirlpool has found a need to "hide" the drain hose inside the walls now ( Whirlpool makes many of the Kenmore branded refrigerators ) on there top freezer refrigerators. This makes accessing the drain hose to flush it out more difficult, no cup inside the fresh food section, no hose down the outside back wall and the only access is inside the freezer section behind the back false wall and under the evaporator coils.

Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.
