Question about Canon MF6530 Black and White Copier

Try this troubleshooting procedure:
With the machine on, unplug machine from surge protector or outlet. While the machine is off push the Copy, Scan, Start button in that order 3 times. Plug the machine back up. The machine should initialize and be ready to copy.

Let's un-install the disc programs, install the ones from the website,
and then reboot again (all this with the USB plug disconnected). After
the reboot, plug the USB in and tell me what happens.
Are you the right drivers to the right OS ?
Disconnect the printer's USB cable. Go HERE, select from the list right OS.
Download imageCLASS MF6530 Printer Driver for Windows XP/Server 2003/Vista/Server 2008/Windows 7 x64 Edition
And install it. Then reboot your computer. Once it is up, connect the printer cable.
