Question about Zanussi TC7102W Electric Dryer

Zanussi TC7102w - put clothes in and turn power on but drum won't turn - take clothes out and turn on again empty and drum turns - leave turning empty for a minute - open door throw clothes in quickly and close door and it will now work? Is this a belt problem?

Could well be belt if it i loose if not then could be the motor...Good luck...

That would certainly be my first thought.

Before you go buying a new one though, I would just check that the brushes on the motor are moving freely in their carriers and that they're not excessively worn

Dryer modle Tc7102w/t5c7102s was working ok but drum won't rotate


Theres two things to look at, the brushes on the motor, replaceable and cheap, if they are are healthy then there is one or sometimes two large capacitors, these give the motor the ooomf to get it rotating, these fail which is a common problem with washing machines and dryers, again about £5= on ebay.

Dryer working but no heat


Your dryer has two separate fuses, one to turn the drum, and one to heat it. It sounds like you have a broken fuse. Unless this is a new installation, then you need to make sure you have the proper electric cord attached. If it's mistakenly connected with a range cord, it won't supply enough power to the dryer.
