SOURCE: 22" Apple Cinema Display doesn't power on

This may be an issue with the display detecting the wrong video format or is using an unsupported resolution for this Apple Cinema Display 22"

Procedure:
• Make sure your Mac is turned off.

• Once your Mac is shutdown, you will need to perform what is called a PRAM reset (Parameter RAM)

• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously .

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

• Now, hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the start up sound for the third time.

• Release the keys and allow the Mac to start up.

If that does not help here is additional support reference from Apple regarding its LCD displays:

This issue is can be caused by loose cable connections or a loose DVI graphics card in the computer. Check cable connections and verify there are no bent pins.

Ensure that the DVI graphics card is securely connected in the computer.

You can also try this procedure with your Mac:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} -PRAM RESET -
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

• First, hold in your power button for approximately 10 seconds to do a hard shutdown, if you have not already turned your Mac off.

• Once your Mac is shutdown, you will need to perform what is called a PRAM reset (Parameter RAM)
This should help with the freezing issue:

• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously .

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

• Now, hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.

• Release the keys and allow the Mac to start up.

• Please update me to let me know if this works.

A PRAM is a good troubleshooting procedure for display issues.

If this does not work, this may be a genuine issue with the graphics card in your Mac, more so, than 2 monitor just burning out. You may need to take the Apple ADC 17" in for service, if the procedures above fails.

Im not sure if my westinghouse tv can have streaming netflix

When I wrote this, most, if not all Westinghouse TVs did not have the ability to connect to the internet. Regardless of brand, if your non-smart TV has a spare HDMI port you can connect it to a streaming device such as a Roku, Apple TV or Chromecast. I have a Roku connected to my Westinghouse TV and it works fine. If you get a Chromecast device, read your TV manual before connecting it to the USB port for power. The USB port on early Westinghouse TVs is for service only and is not powered. Perhaps that has changed.

Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. The "the USB device attached has malfunctioned" is a common issue of a usb device that is connected to the computer. If you can still use the ipod properly it seems that there is something that has been detect by windows that is malfunctioning on the iPod when you connect it. There are only 3 possible reasons. First is the cable that you are using and the other one is the port on the ipod where you connect the usb cable and the 3rd is the motherboard needs to be rebooted. You can try to change the usb cable or try to use the steps below and see if you will encounter the same error.
Simply UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY. Yes that's it! Note that this does not mean just turning off your computer because modern computers don't really turn off when you press the power button as the motherboard still gets power. First to explain, the motherboard is where all of hardware of the computer is connected to, including the USB ports. Sometimes the motherboard needs to be "rebooted" also because something can go wrong, i.e. all your USB ports suddenly stop working. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices! So first turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.
If you are using a laptop you need to remove the battery to drain the power on the motherboard. Please let me know what happen so that we can continue troubleshooting.

If you have questions please let me know. Thanks

No sound from my 30GB ipod in the car and Bose sound dock

It sounds like an issue with the internal motherboard and possibly the audio jack. I'd reccomend taking it into a local apple store to have them fix it or contacting them via their support website here. Also you may want to consider their price quotes vs purchasing a new one when you talk to them.
