went away on hols for a week so turned the program off but left power to the boiler, got back put the programmer on and after 2-3 mins it locked out, reset it a few times with no joy, called local plumber out, he didnt really know what was wrong but noticed that when he took the top off there may have been a long term weeping affecting a circuit board? he said it may be expensive (always is) has anyone else had to have this circuit board replaced??

Worcester 24i boiler..how do i re-ignite the pilot light??

Overheat thermostat has tripped. If a modern Worcester need to press reset on control panel.

If older style Worcester - Pull front cover off the boiler (just above control panel flap pull the cover from both sides forward to unclip and then lift upwards to remove cover) and you will see a little brown reset button - press this back down.
However the over heat thermostat trips for a reason - was the system running on low pressure? It could be the pump is sticking a bit (dirt in the system) which can be sorted easily by adding an additive (DIY packs available at Home-base) . Or it could be the pump has completely gone. If this is the case it will trip again as soon as the boiler clicks back on.

My heat-pump went into lockout due to low water pressure. The pressure is back up to 50psi. After shorting between the test pins, the unit starts but the status light still flash about every 10 sec and...

the unit has a hi pressure safty switch on it, probally has a red push button on top. when the water slows down or stops the hi pressure trips to shut unit down to prevent compressor damage, the switch does not reset it self, find it in the outdoor unit and reset it, let me know. thanks wally.

What are the carrier 8000ts led error codes?

They are listed inside the front panel of the main unit.

LED CODE

EACH OF THE FOLLOWING STATUS CODES IS A TWO DIGIT NUMBER WITH THE FIRST

DIGIT DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER OF SHORT FLASHES AND THE SECOND DIGIT BY

THE NUMBER OF LONG FLASHES.

STATUS

11 NO PREVIOUS CODE - Stored status code is erased automatically after 72

hours. On RED LED boards stored status codes can also be erased when power

(115 VAC or 24 VAC) to control is interrupted.

12 BLOWER ON AFTER POWER UP (115 VAC or 24 VAC) -Blower runs for 90

seconds, if unit is powered up during a call for heat (R-W closed) or R-W opens

during blower on-delay.

13 LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT - Lockout occurs if the limit or flame rollout switch is

open longer than 3 minutes.

- Control will auto reset after three hours. - Refer to #33.

14 IGNITION LOCKOUT - Control will auto-reset after three hours. Refer to #34.

21 GAS HEATING LOCKOUT - Control will NOT auto reset.

Check for: - Mis-wired gas valve -Defective control (valve relay)

22 ABNORMAL FLAME-PROVING SIGNAL - Flame is proved while gas valve is

de-energized. Inducer will run until fault is cleared. Check for:

- Leaky gas valve - Stuck-open gas valve

23 PRESSURE SWITCH DID NOT OPEN Check for:

- Obstructed pressure tubing. - Pressure switch stuck closed.

24 SECONDARY VOLTAGE FUSE IS OPEN Check for:

- Short circuit in secondary voltage (24VAC) wiring.

31 PRESSURE SWITCH DID NOT CLOSE OR REOPENED - If open longer than

five minutes, inducer shuts off for 15 minutes before retry. Check for:

- Excessive wind - Proper vent sizing - Defective inducer motor

- Low inducer voltage (115VAC) - Defective pressure switch

- Inadequate combustion air supply - Restricted vent

- Disconnected or obstructed pressure tubing

- Low inlet gas pressure (if LGPS used)

If it opens during blower on-delay period, blower will come on for the selected

blower off-delay.

33 LIMIT CIRCUIT FAULT - Indicates a limit, or flame rollout is open. Blower will

run for 4 minutes or until open switch remakes whichever is longer. If open

longer than 3 minutes, code changes to lockout #13. If open less than 3 minutes

status code #33 continues to flash until blower shuts off. Flame rollout switch

requires manual reset. Check for: - Restricted vent

- Proper vent sizing - Loose blower wheel - Excessive wind

- Dirty filter or restricted duct system.

- Defective blower motor or capacitor. - Defective switch or connections.

- Inadequate combustion air supply (Flame Roll-out Switch open).

34 IGNITION PROVING FAILURE - Control will try three more times before lockout

#14 occurs. If flame signal lost during blower on-delay period, blower will come

on for the selected blower off-delay. Check for: - Control ground continuity

- Flame sensor must not be grounded

- Oxide buildup on flame sensor (clean with fine steel wool).

- Proper flame sense microamps (.5 microamps D.C. min., 4.0 - 6.0 nominal).

- Gas valve defective or gas valve turned off - Manual valve shut-off

- Defective Hot Surface Ignitor

- Low inlet gas pressure

- Inadequate flame carryover or rough ignition

- Green/Yellow wire MUST be connected to furnace sheet metal

45 CONTROL CIRCUITRY LOCKOUT Auto-reset after one hour lockout due to;

- Gas valve relay stuck open - Flame sense circuit failure

- Software check error

Reset power to clear lockout. Replace control if status code repeats.

If status code recall is needed, briefly remove then reconnect one main limit wire to display

stored status code. On RED LED boards do not remove power or blower door before initiating

status code recall. After one status code recall is completed component test will occur.

We have a Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 (10 year old) combi boiler. Over the last few weeks when we have put on the heating the boiler kicks in and fires up and the heating comes on (the water comes on fine...

The by pass pipe may be limed up. This apparently causes a reduced flow which will stop the heating side of the thing working. Call out Worcester Bosch engineer. It costs £210 including VAT and most parts and they almost guarantee to get it working.

Worcester bosch highflow 400 - the green demand light never works when i select it, there's no hot water or heating. The green demand light does not comes on but there is noise from the boiler . .

Sounds like a control panel.Detatch the block connector that serves the gas valve, see if you have power on the bare pins.both left and right pins should measure mains voltage. If you have no power at the pins its the pcb control board.Replace the board.

My becket honeywell r7184p oil burner monitor is not resetting it keeps blinking a fast green. What should i be looking for?

my Beckett oil burner with a honeywell R7184P just did the same thing. Quit burning, blinks for half a second. The burner says press reset once, if it does not reset then call a local serviceman. It is cold here in Alaska, you betcha', and my oil must have jelled up. It happened once, but pressing reset solved my problem, two days later it stopped again. I applied heat (hair dryer) to my supply line, added an anti-jelling solution to my tank. Here is what I found.

"The Honeywell R7184P-1080 (interrupted control—transformer shuts down 10 seconds after flame is established) is now the standard control used on all Beckett oil burners along with the new “Cleancut” pump. The Honeywell control has both a 15 second pre-purge and a 15 second post purge feature, as well as internal self-checking of the control itself. The control has 15 second lockout timing plus a 10 second ignition carry over period. After 3 lockouts during the same call for heat, the control goes into restricted lockout., A restricted lockout condition may be reset by holding the reset button down for 30 seconds until the LED flashes twice. At any time the control is powered, the reset button may be held for 30 seconds to reset the lockout counter. There are several new “Service Features” with the R7184P control that make for easier servicing."

You have to press the reset button for thirty seconds. I don't know how cold it it there, or what number oil you guys are burning, but what I do know is that you guys have been pressing your reset button more than once.

This worked for me. Good luck.

My central heating system comprises a worcester bosch system boiler and honeywell smartfit controls. The problem I am having is that the central heating doesn't seem to knock off at the preset temperature...

You could possibly have an ignition problem. The controller will go into a lock-out condition if flame is not established. Turning the temperature control down and then back up may be serving to reset the control system so it tries again.
