I HAVE A SAMSUNG DLP HLT5075SX/XAA AND IT STARS TO GET BRIGHTS LITLE DOT ALL OVER THE SCREEN WHAT IS THAT IST A PART THAT I NEED TO REPLACE?

Maybe your color wheel breaking up, if hit goes no picture or might be the lamp. If color wheel you can see it if you remove the back panel (UNPLUG TV FIRST) it's next to the lamp. Color wheel cost
Appox. $100 & If Blub Cost $75-$100 both can be bought online. Shop by you model #. If not sure what your doing call TV service Tech.

Good Luck!

Color Wheel installation

You can purchase color wheel of Samsung HLT5075SX from Part Store and I would recommend to have qualified TV tech for installation. it is not advised to novice to get involve in such kind of repair that can damage TV.

Still you want to repair it by yourself then download service manual copy of same TV from HERE for small fee that has proper info.

HLT5075SX/XAA DOESN'T WORK EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE LAMP.

If you are not hearing a whining noise coming from the color wheel then you have a bad Ballast. Part# BP47-00037A.

I replaced the bulb on my Samsung DLP projection TV (HLT5075SX/XAA) but now there is a plastic burning smell. Does anybody know what it can be?

That is probely the smell of the new lamp. If the odor persist and gets worse then remove the lamp and inspect it and the inside of the tv.
