Hello
Download and install microsoft security essentials, its free and better then most pay programs.

Here is a link.

http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx

Next try a disc clean up and run the defrag program found in programs system tools.

This should speed it up and get rid of any virus you may have.

All the above are correct...But do you know how much RAM is installed...Are your Windows Updates done. Tell us more about the PC Please. Start>Settings>Control Panel>System Give us at least what info is on the General Tab Under System & Computer. Operating System /CPU & RAM Installed so we may know whether your problems are more likely simply hardware/Software related or Virus/Spyware0 related. Some speed problems can be solved by a simple RAM Upgrade.
First off; Go to; www.belarc.com download the free Belarc Advisor, install & run it, then print the results (A free clean util. that will give you a full hardware/software inventory of the computer). On the right side it will list what RAM is installed in what slots. Next, go to www. crucial.com and download the free Crucial System Scanner Tool, run it and print the results. This will give you the specs of what's installed now and all of the upgrade possibilities. (2 free tools). Now you know max. the motherboard will take, and you should upgrade to that maximum if you can afford it. Research the RAM by Specs on E-Bay for Pricing. IE: An Acer Aspire One 752 model has 2 slots and takes up to 2GB's in each slot (Total 4 GB..Though less than Vista 64 Bit OS will only recognize and use 3.0 to 3.5 GB's), 200 Pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-6400(Laptop RAM) Does not require matching Pairs-No ECC (Error Correcting), and a total maximum of 4096 megabytes installed RAM (1GB=Approx. 1024MB), so (4096MB's=4GB's). So you would order 2X2046MB=2 GB's each X 2=$ Gb's Total of PC2-6400 200 Pin 800Mhz SODIMM (Laptop RAM). Currently priced on Tiger Direct new for: 2 X 2048MB ($29.99 Each plus Shipping - Would need to order and install 2=Total upgrade cost $60.00 plus shipping=Cheapest Speed you can buy). It will feel like a new computer after the upgrade if currently has under 1 GB installed and XP/ or under max GB installed Vista or higher. Then go to www.acer.com. then drivers & downloads, (Download all your driver updates while there and make yourself a CD of the updated drivers too, make folders for each driver in a New Hardware Folder in "Documents" or "My Documents", burn them to CD/DVD after the install of each), enter your model # and find the Manual section, download the manual, look for upgrade RAM...it will give you instructions to install your new RAM. I usually order based on the specs the Crucial tool puts out from E-Bay, Crucial & or Tiger Direct for best pricing. (Depending on the model, for most laptops the RAM slots are located easy access on the bottom of the case, some are 1 slot bottom, 1 slot under keyboard...Both are replaceable. I personally do a RAM upgrade for cost of RAM + Shipping and a 10%~20% Labor Surcharge. If I am performing a cleanup or any other work on a computer I do the upgrade for RAM cost only. Good Luck! cglrcng

HI,
Go into safemode again and download this link just click on download now to get the latest malwarebytes and run it on your computer then after delete the quarantined files and restart your computer this should make it faster again if tstill the issue is slow then you may have to re-format you windows just to make sure everything runs fine again removing a virus is not that easy depends if it detects the virus, malware or spyware that is slowing your system down.

try Malwarebytes it worked for me an many as I know if it does uninstall it and format everything.

I hope this helps.

Mention three way in which a virus harm your computer

1: Can make it so that infected files just don't work anymore, so after a while your computer won't even boot.
2: Popups and ads, can also download more viruses
3: Can track your info like credit card numbers and passwords.

Greetings my friend, regarding on your problem try to see if you have installed and update an anti virus software in your computer/Laptop then if is it installed then run the anti virus and scan and clean all your drives in your computer otherwise install and update your anti virus software. Also try to check also the files that you have stored in your drives. Delete those files in the recycle bin. Also defrage your drives. If you are using Windows XP then follow this: To defrage your drives go to start button then all programs then accessories then system tools and then click Disk Defragment. then follow the steps given by the computer. Reasons why our computer/Laptop runs slow cause of some viruses/worms and overcrowded files particularly picture and music files. Also too much program installed in your computer/Laptop. Need to have a good management systems in your computer to maintain your desire accuracy and speed of your computer/Laptop.

Slow

Hey
There can be many things that can cause your computer to slow down.
First of all Viruses .. some viruses once in the computer are difficult to be recognized by normal anit-viruses they generally make your computer go slow, such a problem can be solved either by getting a better anti virus or by formatting your system
There can be another reason... have you check how many processes are running on your comp?
ctrl + alt + delete go to processes... now a normal XP os needs only 17-20 applications to run properly ... so anything in excess to it is being run on your computer to provide some sort of service to you(you must not start stopping those extra processes w/o knows what they are doing).Try closing some of the applications this should make your computer work faster
There can be another reason... the drive space in your OS drive Say Drive C is very less ... should be above 500 Mb for smooth functioning.. in such a case delete unwanted files..
for further assistance feel free to mail me at
