1) If you still have the disks, re-install MS Office.
2) If you don't have the disks, go to "Filehippo.com" down load and install "OpenOffice" its free and compatible with MS Office.

I have microsoft publishr on my desk top computer but I dont have the disk.I bought microsoft Publisher 1993 as I was told it would open the files I have on the memory stick I also have the microsoft 98...

...why are you still using publisher 98? Never mind. Whoever told you that 93 would open a file created with 98 was lying; the programming likely isn't compatible. At this point, you'd need to look REALLY hard for someone with the expertise AND tools to get that data for you. I definately have the expertise, but publisher 93 is almost as old as I am, so i doubt i have any of the necessary software lying around. If you use a more modern version of publisher, like publisher 2003, you might get lucky. i don't remember if 2003 is backwards compatible, but it probably is. But if anyone tells you that any computer or program from that era is forwards compatible, they are LYING. So to answer your question, try buying office 2003, and open it with publisher 2003. It might work then.

Microsoft exel is not viewing, it is deleted

Excel will not open - Excel, the program, has been deleted? or you cannot open a single file - a single file has been deleted?

If a single file, you might try going to the folder where it was deleted (if you know), and hitting CTRL-Z, or check the Recycle Bin. Otherwise, it might be gone. You could look into programs that can recover deleted files.

If the program Excel has been deleted, you will need to reinstall it. All your settings and files should be fine and reinstated once it is reinstalled. You might first try a System Restore back to a date that it was working ok.

.pub File unable to open after Microsoft Publisher hung

you could try open office and see if it may open it? worth a try. also try right click-properties-general tab and check file size, if its 0 then its lost.
This being said you can still go into the properties and check shadow copys.... if you saved it before you can try to find the deleted file.
there are free programs to recover lost files.
just Google "file recovery"

Hope this may help you
