Hi

This error code means that one of the heaters in the print head has failed or is not warming up enough. This is not a cheap fix as either the heater/print head assembly or the electronics module should be replaced to remove this error. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

How to set up printer to print double sided. Printer Xerox Phaser 8400

First look at your printer identification.

You can see it in either the display or on the startup or configuration pages.

It must have a "D" in the name for you to be able to do automatic duplexing. i.e. 8400DN or 8400DX . Then you can scroll to printer setup
and select defaults, and then turn on the duplex, or double sided printing.

If yours does not have a "D" i.e. 8400, 8400N then you would need a new sim card to enable the duplex option.

How do I remove ink from a Xerox Phaser 8400 - I want to load new ''fresh'' ink

I use a pen or something similar to work it up the loader and the stab it wit a push pin or paper clip to lift it out. You'll need to run some solid color pages to purge the ink from the printhead.

Normally indicates that the mintenance kit is drying out and not properly lubricating the drum.

Xerox Phaser 8400 gets no power

I have been hesitating on answering this because people hang me out to dry on phaser printers when I give them good info. But here goes.
What you can try is go to the back of the machine, whre eh on off switch is located. there are 2 larger thumb screws you twist to align with the back frame. That holds the main board in place, Losten them, remove the main board, reseat the RAM memory into its slots, re insert the main board and try turning it on. If that doesn't work the most likely problem, ( 90 % likely) is the electronics module. And I am sure you did not pay as much for the machine as an electronics module would cost, Generally they are over $1000. Best price.

Can anyone help I have a Xerox 8400N and im getting 10mm image printing down one side rest of page blank

About a 95 percent chance that you have a bad print head. You can try cleaningn cycles and also jet substuitution but your problem is blocked jets.
You could have a piece of paper between the drum and print head.

Xerox Phaser 8400N Printing Stripes

When you go into the eliminate light stripes there is also a mode called Jet Substitution. You can sometimes bypass the bad jets.
If that does not work then the print head will most likely need to be replaced.
You can replace the printer for less than the cost of a print head normally..
