Question about IBM Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I cannot get sound from my speakers, I was doing an online medical tanscription course online and they worked just fine, now Im afraid I deleted something and i have no speaker icon at the bottom of my desktop. I do not know what happened to it. When I go to the control panel and go to speakers and sounds the speaker part is grayed out and won't let me do anything.

Hello

Sounds like the drivers for the audio are corrupted.Reinstall drivers for your audio device.

The drivers should be on a cd or dvd that came with the pc.

Hooked the stereo up and got power to but no sound coming out speakers but i try home speaker it work so what did i do wrong ?

if im understanding correctly what you wrote. you hooked up the headunit to the car and no sound from speakers, then you hooked up a single house speaker up and that speaker works fine. the Ohms on the car speakers might be too high, but most likely sounds like the wires to the speakers are bad.

I have a Planet Audio Big Bang 3000 Watt 1 ohm stable amp I was wondering if i could run 2 HIFONICS OLYMPUS 15's they are 2,400 Watts rms each 4,800 max each so would i overload my amp and im putting it in...

that should be fine, but with that much power you might want to invest in earplugs, the SPL or sound pressure level from those speakers could rip your ear drums out of your head, kick them around for awhile, spit on them and shove them back in through your nose.
**Disclaimer, I am not a medical doctor and do not claim to be, I am simply warning you about hearing loss as I have suffered from between 30 - 50% hearing loss because of loud bass. but seriously, if the speakers sound like """" turn it down a little bit. that system should work fine though.

External speakers do not work on my MacBook pro

Plug in your external speakers then go to system preferences then sound when in the sound control panel go to the output tab and select the external speakers as the device for sound output and of course at the bottom of the control panel make sure that the mute check box is unchecked and turn up the volume. Hope this helps

Same prob. My acer worked y.day and now no sound.

I completely unplugged my speakers. And uninstalled all the hardware for my speakers. Then restarted my computer. Then inserted my format disc for my speakers. Reinstalled it. Using all automatic speaker settings. And they work fine now.

I have the exact same problem, what i suggest is finding your manual, and CD to install (if u have one) because i remember this problem a while back when i first got it, but after i installed it was ok...if you dont have the manual or disk, you could look for an online instalation manual (which is what im doing right now)
