If you are using windows xp, chances are you have a corrupted harddisk. Try repairing your harddisk by inserting the windows xp setup cd and boot from it. When you get to the Setup Menu, select r for Repair, and follow the instructions. When the c: prompt appears, type chkdsk c: /r and press Enter. Wait for it to finish, and then type exit and press Enter. Your computer will then restart, and hope it goes normally.
